SequoiaBET
Any idea who made this? It's a completely uniform 61/64 inch. The base glass is a dark transparent green as I tried to capture with the back lit pic. The only UV is the yellow frit that glows orange. It does appear to have a bit of a gathered top as seen in the first pic, but it is definitely machine made as far as I can tell.

Fire1981
Bump for some more feedback. I'm not 100% sure I got this one right🔥 RAR
akroorka
It would be refered to a a guinea type at the least. Lots of these are produce by a variety of folks. This one is a bit odd with all of the wear that it shows. It is worth putting in your pocket and bringing to a show. Marble--On!!

Fire1981
This sounds crazy but I think these came out off Italy. I’ll get Roberto in on this one🔥 RAR

Fire1981
There's too much pocket wear to be a contemporary🔥 RAR
SequoiaBET
Thanks to everyone who is spending time to help ID this marble- I appreciate it! The Italian angle is an interesting one. This comes form a recent purchase of mine and I'm confident in saying it is at least 40 years old, as the collection I bought it out of has a simple and clear history from a trusted source. A related question, when people say a marble is "contemporary" what time period does that word mean for those in the marble community?
SequoiaBET
I'm no expert, but I've been collecting marbles for a while and seen a decent amount of them- and this doesn't look like a contemporary torch made marble. Like Fire mentioned, there is too much wear and the glass colors and quality don't scream torch made to me. But I'm sure over the years nearly every type of marble has been made with a torch. The way the colors stretch and pull together at the one pole could suggest a punty was there as it stands out from the rest of the pattern in the marble, but I don't know.
