Pete2226
I am new to Marble Attribution and looking for confirmation or correction: I think this is a 6 VEIN (the veins go to the poles) Caged Cat's Eye Could it be by Vacor? 0.625" I know the marble is from the early 1970s or earlier (my kids played with it in the late 1970s) Photos of veins meeting at the poles:

Is the reason you say Vitro because the veins appear to end at polar seams? I cannot see a seam, but the linear correlation of the ends along a line suggest there might be one. Is that your clue for Vitro? I have this sketch in mind: Here is a detail photo of the area (within the ellipse) I am wondering if it can be defined as a seam: For Vacor, I was focusing on the bubbles within the clear base.

Welcome Pete2226 to "TheMarbleConnection" the oldest marble board on Planet Earth--maybe the whole Galaxy. I may be mental here-- but my first thought was Peltier Rainbo. Both Vitro and Peltier made some very strong--"well cooked" transparent glass. I have been wrong before--before--before this. (many times before this) I can take my lumps and move on. Just food for thought. Marble--On!!
