G-Lassy
I am trying to learn about marbles like many others. Compartmentalizing seems to work best for me. Unfortunately, it has not worked for me so far with marbles as the amount of info is overwhelming. I have the books, watch the videos, make presentations and write reports on what I find as I go; I watch marble auctions and make notes. This old lady is still clueless. I know there are many grey areas in identifying marbles, but I would be happy to just have a few marbles that I put aside as questionable in regard to identification, while being sure of the majority. My objective today is a list of all makers of cat's eye marbles, which company made specific ones (ex. hybrid, etc.) , what the identifying marks are associated with specific makers, what the names of the types are, which ones are harder to find and which ones can be easily confused with other types of marbles and what makes them confusing (ex. Yasuda vs. CAC vs. Akro slag). SURE, I WANT THE IMPOSSIBLE........LOL

Start with this book "The World of Cat's Eye Marbles" by Elizabeth A. Kempski. Last that I checked, she is alive and well. She is also a cat's eye expert. Do not be afraid to contact her, she is very amicable. As far as Cats go on this board, @YasudaCollector and @shiroaiko are the best with Asian made marbles that you could find anywhere. Issue a PM or "personal message" to either one and I am sure that they will respond in good faith. The USA made Cat's Eye's, Cat Eye, Cats Eye's--etc, are recognized by all of us here @TheMarbleConnection. Give us your best images. Three or four at a time. Well cropped and nice and clear. Sizes are important as well. You do you and good luck in your research, many folks collect "Cats"--me included--I am partial to the ugly ones made by Master Glass. ( that is just me). Marble--On!!
