akroorka
Imho, this one is a WVS of some sort. I do not think that it is a Jabo. More opinions are needed here. Marble--On!! 2
Madcap Laughs
Thanks! I have a question! Are there different makers of WVSs? I was collecting Jabos for a long time, was super lousy at id-ing anything else, really, and never dabbled in much else because I started in with contemporary marbles. I have many marbles of which I am trying to ID myself, but I guess I never understood the WVS. THANK YOU!

Madcap Laughs
Okay! Thank you! Yes, I have misplaced my caliper but it is definitely a shooter! I will get a measurement as soon as I find it. 😀

I will not spoil your fun filled mission here and name them. West Virginia had many, many makers vs the rest of the USA, it was/is the Capitol State of glass Marbles. I urge you to sit down and start reading what the interweb has to offer starting with this link. https://www.westvirginiamarblecollectorsclub.com/miscellaneous They are tops when clubs are considered. Marblesguy Posted yesterday at 03:09 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 03:09 AM Does not look like JABO Could be one of many WVSwilrs... Alley did have the sharper lines
Roberto Posted yesterday at 05:26 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 05:26 AM It seems to me Jabo. What size is it, exactly?
Marblesguy
You dont see too many sharp lines on Jabos Classics - they mostly have large soft foldd in their glass Their Mfg machines did not create a majority of marbles with sharp turned lines
Marblesguy
Now the new run Jabos - more recent stuff has some very sililar construction to the one shown in the OP.
Madcap Laughs
I cannot find my caliper to do an exact measure, but it seems larger than an average shooter. I could be wrong. I am st work presently so I will do a comparison with a vacor shooter I have when I get home at some point. I see what you mean, but that was in a container with all older mibs and only 3 orange Jabo were in there that I was able to identify... Thanks every, one! Now, 500 Alley +300 Ravenswood and two Jabo, the latter does not at all mean that they have to be old just because they were found together with old marbles. It can happen, and it has happened many times for various reasons, that a new marble ends up in a batch of old marbles,...this is my opinion
Madcap Laughs
Oh, I totally agree! That was just my 3rd shift, sleep-deprived logic. 🤣 I trust the logic of someone who knows their way around mibs over my opinion, for certain. I'm looking for the marble right now. I had put it in a spot that I would remember after I had made my post, but I don't remember where that was. Welcome to my world. I am 100% certain that it is larger than other shooters, I just don't know by how much. I know that is not helpful, but I am learning stuff here and that's great! I used to collect DAS only, but did not know that about the sharpness until now.
