MFC horde discovered in Pennsylvania
The marbles were found in a wall of a house, I'm not kidding either...
I bought the entire lot, big ones and all sizes and colors. I should have them in hand later this week.
that massive over 2 inch banded I got came from this seller, and its flat out killer, original surface. His stuff seems to be mixed around a bit, some polished, some new, some great.
made in Bulgaria or the real deal?

well there is one thing for sure... they picked two great examples, so these are probably salesmen samples to be hung in a window display or curtain accessories like Bob suggested. Perhaps even a watch maker or jewlery maker got the pair and made them for a display...
Where did you get them Bernie?
If they were curtain tie backs you would assume clear would be the color choice. I think they are store display items. Hang them in the store front window and catch peoples attention... I still would take them apart... thats just me.. I like taking things apart.
The marbles are selling very well, some nice examples, the guy is actually turning out some pretty nice marbles.
love the story
This AMAZING glass marble is part of a larger lot. It is the one and only. Years ago my father worked in a east German circus-carnival shooting which toured the countries of the Eastern Bloc there parents were shooting at targets to win these incredibly handmade marbles
for their children. And then he changed his job so these marbles were in forgotten our old house until several months ago when found them again. I do not know where these beautiful marbles are made but sure and I guarantee they are at least 47 years
