I've taken grief for fixing spelling error's before and I can handle it!!! LOL
Gotcha covered, Jack!!!
thanks sue........jack

p.s., as far as information my best guess on source and era is Japan, 1960's.
That's all I got. Won't feel bad is someone corrects me.
I know there were modern peewee cats, but were they cross-throughs? It might be educational to get a pic of the colors the modern cats came in. Does anyone have a pic handy?
No matter what, that's one cool cat.
thanks steph, good advice as usual. really sorry i misspelled your name, i even previewed post first lol. thanks, jack

LOL.... There's been a couple I'd love to have, at least, fostered... But, Wally isn't into the idea of strange animals in the house and most of the dogs I've fallen for would probably clash in an ugly way with my chinchilla (mostly pits... which amazed me, when I learned I had a weakness for them... Not what I expected... They are really incredible when you get to know them)
that's a wonderful thing you are doing, so many animals need our help.........jack

beautiful!
thanks everyone for looking. right now she is mostly stockpiling the pieces of glass until we think of a good idea how to move a few. awhile back i drilled a hole in a few for some pendent's but were both workers and not sellers so there still around somewhere. if anyone would like a piece plain or drilled just shoot us with e-mail and we will get it out to you. thanks, jack and her (lol). it's linda

just wanted to show off the wifes work. she start's with a piece of swirled glass around 2-6 lbs. and breakes it into pieces from 3/4" to 2" then it goes into her rock tumblers for 8 steps of assorted grit's 10 days each plus another 8 soap washings for 10 days each.it's very difficult to get a final high gloss with glass and they say on a rock tumbler she is one of the best. my photos don't do it justice. thanks, jack

Congrats! You'll find that duffy's comment is true. If I had to find work(been retired 11 years+), I couldn't find time to do work now. Can barely find time to go on vacation....
here's wishing you a very happy and joyfull retirement...jack

Thanks guys! I'm at work which is kind of a bummer. I'd rather be being lazy at home, lol.

Drill some holes in some CAC flames and see if they hit any better...
thats funny. you use bits coated with diamond particles, the marble and bit must be submerged in water, i use a dremel and like i said it's a lot of work............jack

Good question, where is Griff! Lol!!
this is the marble rig that fooled that halibut.it's a lot of work moving up and down the beach and probably a hundred casts and finally a hookup. in the past three years i have hooked and landed 15 halibut from 15 lbs to my 30lbs. i caught the rest bouncing this chrome spoon but i just had to try this crazy rig i came up with. it takes about 1/2 hour to drill through one marble and i don't really want to make any more lol. thanks, jack
-
decent 30 lb halibut caught fishing from the beach casting into surf and slowly retrieving 4 marbles with a hook. i drilled through each 3/8" marble, ran wire leader w/hook. a couple of beads between mibs gives it very good action bouncing along bottom. used amber color mibs and yes it isn't easy drilling through glass.........jack

An average Wales Cat Eyes bag would have the 6 vane, 3 pairs, 3 colors Japanese style cat's-eyes (common ones). I posted one pic below - they comes in 15, 20, 30, 40 & 100 count bags plus a 5 count shooter size bag. Wales are packaged in Japan. I do not recall seeing a 9-vane cat'seye in any Wales bags. They did package some 3 way cross thru type cat's - a 30 count bag pictured below although the count # is not on the bag (it was same way with a 15 count one I have - blank count on header). Wales also had the brushed patch type that looked like Vitros - called them Variegated on their bag (one pictured). They also had some in their red and white header bag with no marble name(one pictured). I also posted pic of a Claeries (that's how they spelled it) bag and a Daffodile bag that had single color cat's-eyes in it.
thank's a lot al, i'll let you know what i get when they arrive thanks, jack
