  3. My complements to the chef!! nice work Craig
  4. Thanks Ken, I always try to go to the new philly and columbus show and try to pick Brian Estepp's brain without annoying him too much. Otherwise I walk around the show and try and learn before buying. Maybe ill see you there! Craig
  5. So how does everyone tell apart their CAC's. Give me some tips please C
  6. Hello marble friends I have a very important question for all of you. How do go by telling if one of your marbles is CAC? 1. Go by others pics 2. I found that most to all CAC white, baby blue and pale green will fluoresce wildly 3. Definite separation of colors 4. Glass feel with orange peel exterior sometimes 5. Learn from others This is where I need your help as I am always learning. The marble I am posting I assumed was Alley, but it also fluoresces and was wondering about your thoughts............before you make a call, check out my second post which contains a VERY helpful picture I found of all CAC marbles halves dug from the site. You can find mine in three places including the "top row" in the middle. I APPOLOGIZE if this picture is someone's who didnt want it posted and I will remove it if anyone wants......but it is just so helpful I thought everyone would like to see it. It might belong to Bill Tow? Craig
  7. I think its a early american agate, got it from New Philly last year. Its very hand gathered. Anyone have any they want to share? C
  8. Both! Here are some of my favorites, sorry about the bad lighting its late here. Thanks for looking and feel free to post your favorite CAC and MFC's. And yes some of my MFC pile has Navarre, Canada and Akro in it so i am told, but enjoy! As always all comments are appreciated, Craig
  9. Awesome, I need to make plans for a hunting trip in Canada! Those are extremely beautiful Craig
  10. I found all of these and a few others in a jar over the weekend. All except one are CAC with either one or two cut marks. I didnt know CAC made slags this small despite collecting them. These are the first I found as 1/2 or smaller. For reference the top left and center are 5/8". The top left electric yellow is hand gathered which I thought was odd for that color combo and I have more pics of it if people want to see it. Also two very nice lavenders, as well as a few purples in this group. Row two are true orange moving into red/ A few clear slags and moonies as well. Enjoy, all comments are appreciated as always. Craig
  11. Thats right in my wheel house! have to get off of work
  12. Thanks everyone, its a stumper, vitro seems to be the consensus .....its just seems a bit odd that all the color is on the surface c
  13. the second pic in post two shows what can be the only "v" that I see
  14. The base is a clear bubbly matrix with with not "true white" swirled in. The cork is not full and can be construed as wobbly at best, but no discernible "v" like most vitro in the swirl, possibly in the base if you tell yourself thats what you see c
  15. Ill try and get some pics of those up, Like all of you I have a bit of everything i guess C
