  3. Ah, vintage doesn't necessairly mean old. In reality, the word vintage used by itself is nonsence. The true usage of then word vintage needs a year attached to it. Take wine for instance. Vintage 1988 or vintage 2000 is used correctly. Automobiles too, such as, vintage 1935 Ford. Just saying vintage wine or vintage car is meaningless. Them overuse of the word vintage drives one crazy.
  4. That is very sad as you have pretty cool marbles for us to bid on (and I did!).
  5. The one on the right is a failed attempt at a mineral inclusion as the bubbles/cracking look isn't good.
  6. I have a few sulphides explode i the kiln as the old glass couldn't take the re-heating process. I have seen the figurines but not the whole ones. Thanks for the pix!
  7. Now I have drool on my lap sitting here @ my computer!
  8. Now aren't those mibs wonderful - now I have to get a tissue and clean to drool off my keyboard!
  9. Here are a few more I made last night - they also range from 3/4" to 1 1/4"
  10. They range as small as 3/4" up to 1 1/4" with only 1 at 1 1/2" in diameter.
  11. cullet - did you say the magic word - cullet?
  12. As you can see, the result turned out to be better than I imagined it would. I didn’t see that there was a trapped bubble of air in the original marble as it was so damaged. Filling in the low spots didn’t distort the inner color swirls whatsoever. The original glass was full of little, tiny bubbles that couldn’t be seen before the repair. I couldn’t compare the pontil color twists too well because of the damage but I am pretty happy with the results. Thanks you for looking at my work. Rich
