This album has some marbles made by Scott Patrick, some with big chunks of mica.

Of course!
If the right people pass through, you should get an eyeful. -

The famous yellow/green glow is from uranium, of course.
But other chemicals can do other colors. I'm hesitant to say much because I stumble over the chemical names and the oxides, but I remember calcium being involved somehow in an eery blue glow that I quite enjoy. I have seen it in some of my modern Marble King cat's eyes, and in a vintage jar.
I once had a popeye with three or four colors of glow, including blue. But I sold it. Darn it!

I've only got one, somewhere, and I'm sure I inquired in a thread a while back, but I was thinking that pink cats aren't easy to come by?
I can safely agree.

This one is now on eBay…much cheaper

It's tempting!
But I just had a $600 vet bill, so I'll wait. -

Sometimes instead of just admiring something that someone else has, it actually occurs to me that I could go to ebay and try to find my own. Tada! Now I have a copy of a 1973 Audrey comic which a facebook friend shared last week.

The red-orange glow is said to be from manganese.

The glass looks vintage to me.
I don't know who though.

Pretty certainly Jabo here.

Thank you Steph. Hope your new kitties are well.
Almost four months and purrfect. Four feisty pounds for her. Two-and-a-half for him.

At that size with that glow, I'm sitting on the fence between Jabo and Pennsboro Alley.

I'm suspecting the oxbloods will turn out to be a contract run from after 2007.

I agree Pelts on the left.

Four does seem a low number of vanes for big Vitros. Still that's what I'd go with there. -
Yeah. It's almost an "impossible" job. But if you don't know it's impossible, maybe you can do it.
Maybe set up the google doc framework and give permissions to a team of collectors to update it.
A single thread would be very hard to organize, even a single thread per company. But if you get a data framework which is structured and expandable, then who knows what could grow from it. -

Jim, not the salesman sample box. These are just box sets from Akro. The actual salesman sample box sets are much larger and more variety of marbles. Plus more expensive, most of the salesman sample box sets are $10,000.00 each. I think Steph posted a picture of one maybe this last week, maybe over in the id section ?
The box you pictured is nice. The box is missing some marbles, it is 100 count, missing the dividers, and some damage. The box alone above is worth almost as much as the marbles. All maybe $200.00 or $300.00. The marbles in each row should match like the box Chad posted. Exactly what marbles are in the box also affects the final price.
Jim mentioned the salesman sample box because I had posted that in another thread. I broke his box question off from that thread. My bad for not being more clear about that.
Thanks for answering about this box! -
I have broken your prize name box question off into a new thread and put it into the main chat area to give you a better chance of getting an answer.
