beautiful little piece!
and the history lesson is great too.

Art touched all my thoughts on the blue one.
I'd like to see the red one in different light. -
Laura Berretti is the relatively well-known person who has made these.

Yes, "solids" or "game marbles".
-
I like it! "Displays well".

I'm getting a newer feel from the top one. Thinking Vacor.
I think vintage on the bottom. Not Pelt though. I'm thinking Vitro. Akro would be my second guess, but I'm going pretty solidly Vitro.

The base glass could also be Master.
-
The long seam and yellow looks a little Akro-y. But it isn't locking into place for me.
-
With the long seam and the faint white ribbons occurring on both sides, I could see why you might think of Peltier.
The long seam takes me away from my first Master thought. Right now I am leaning toward Vitro.

Maybe Master??
Not quite able to make out what's on the surface. A view with less light inside the marble might help. -

I believe Germany exported glass trade beads to Africa
I'm glad you mention this. I thought about African beads and about them maybe not having been made in Africa, but couldn't remember any details about where they came from.

Thanks, John! Someone else to tag if I can remember.
And thank you, Alan. -
Found. This really is a "what happened to your cat?" marble ....

Edit: It has been tentatively id-ed as a Bogard.-

Interesting. I have one with similar colors. And mine is also an interesting one because it's a "single seam" cat's eye. I find the colors ... let me say, unfortunate. I wish my single-seamer had more eyecatching colors.
Will go look for a pic ....

@Alan, are you in the neighborhood?
-
Swirl, yes.
I'll say West Virginia.
And I'll guess Alley.

Hello. Welcome.
Yes, we're losing a lot of the great ones.

I’m confused, what does Bulgarian collectors have to do with Nigeria?
On a side-note talking about Africa. Are there any marbles that are or were known to be produced in Africa. I don’t know about sub Saharan Africa, but surely there were or are marbles produced in Northern Africa, like Egypt or Morocco, etc?
Also, the only Eastern European marbles I’m aware of are Czech made bullet mold marbles and I believe those date post 1965 or so.
Marbles from Africa? That's another good question. I can't remember if I've ever heard of them. My first thought would be marbles made for Codd bottles. For some reason that image pops to mind.
As to your first question, in my Scrabble group people were speaking of something negative associated with Nigeria, and the group administrators were concerned about Nigerian members feeling stigma from that.
That made me think of how in our marble groups, we speak of something negative associated with Bulgaria. And that got me to thinking about how Bulgarian collectors might feel after reading it. And that got me to wishing we had some Bulgarian collectors. No real connection! Just my wandering thoughts.

Great point Steph.
No disrespect meant on my other post about slingshot ammo. I did my edit and am glad for it.
All are welcome here with no disrespect ever, this much I know as fact.
Welcome--On!!
Oh gosh, I had no particular marble post in mind when I made my post! But thank you for being considerate.

Yes, that was one which leaned toward a Vitro pattern but which I thought was probably MK, and now I'm a solid yes on MK.
The red, white and blues in your second group of pictures are in the same boat. Vaguely Vitro pattern, but still MK.

#2 I think that is Japanese marble. One which is sometimes called a mushroom marble.
Leaning that way on #6 also.
Makes it easier for folks to jump in and try to take a shot at id-ing.
#4 ... size? First thought was Master.
#10 Master
Thanks for putting fewer marbles in the thread today.
