Looked at our backyard thermometer and saw it was down to 20 degrees already at 6 p.m. That's when I remembered I hadn't properly winterized my growbag strawberries yet. I had moved them into the garage but had them by a window and wasn't ready to do whatever you're supposed to do to insulate them against freezing temps.
So now I have strawberries in my attic. I hope they like it there.

Excited. This is going to make a special display. Got a variety of marbles and materials here. Will have to type up notes to accompany.
Yes, I want to go to Rolley Hole sometime! In March I will be making my first out-of-state trip in many years. I'm looking forward to doing more. Rolley Hole is on the list.
Not a lot of light left in the day, but I couldn't wait to take a picture. Came out pretty nice.

Hi. I think not mostly Christensen. Not saying there's none but none jumped out at me yet.
I am seeing a lot of West Virginia swirls, some Peltiers, and one slag ... so far.

Yeah, we had snow in October and then we went back to warmish weather. Was in the 60's a week ago.
But I did see some frosty ground one morning this past week and tomorrow night it's supposed to be 20 degrees.
Gonna play tennis tomorrow at noon. Temp prediction is 38.-

I have a lutz onionskin he made, but mine would be a late-era marble. It is from 2013.

I would have guessed Asian, and Asian marbles were imported to Europe. So that's probably still my guess.
It doesn't look Japanese, but I'm wondering if it could be a Hong Kong marble. Without remembering any details of what I saw, I remember that I had the _impression_ that the early Hong Kong marbles could be somewhat amorphous.
*open to education on this one*

Scott's friend Martin posted this in Scott's memorial thread. I figured I should ask about it in the general chat. Does anyone have any information about the Kingly Line? Pictures of it? Knowledge of who owns any? Thanks.
1 hour ago, Mbowling said:Hello all! I'm in search of a particular Scott Patrick marble! Actually it's a group of incredible onions w/lutz in clear and amber glass. Scott called them the "Kingly line". About a dozen of them were made at 7/8 and perhaps as large as 1 inch. Along with this group a clear aqua blue cloud was sold along with the "Kingly line" around the same size maybe even 1.25inch! Scott told me that these went straight into someones collection when I asked about them years later. We both agreed that those were the best marbles he ever made in that style and size and I had the honor to be his helper during this time so these mibs hold a very special meaning to me. I would be interested in acquiring them of course but I would be happy to at least gaze upon them once more! So If you have any information as to who olds this most outstanding marbles you will EVER lay your eyes on PERIOD bar none let me know please and post pics asap if you are able to do so!
Thanks in advance,
Martin B

Welcome! It's a great hobby and even better that you can share it with family.

That was a quick trip upstairs. As I thought, the vanes on your marble look much more orderly and better connected than any of my large modern MK cats. I'm leaning vintage.
-
That's where I would have it. An inch? I'm thinking you might have a rare St. Marys. But it would be so rare I'm afraid to say it for sure.
It does NOT look like my modern MK's as far as I can recall but you're sending me up to the attic to check out vane textures.
Not a color combination I have anywhere.
Where did you find it?-
