If Cairo Novelty used Ponds cold cream glass, it was a Ponds marble?
That would be changing the vernacular in a significant way. I'm sticking with it being a Cairo Novelty marble.
My opinion.

Someone who has sold that many marbles should know that that 1/8 of an inch makes a huge difference to marble collectors.
4/8 = peewee
5/8 = average marble size
6/8 = shooter
This is crucial information. GP is not incorrect here.

Post 'em up.

I was looking for one which was more coppery and found those along the way.

Love 'em all but the Vitros in the Red Horse bag made my heart speed up. Now that I look closer I see the Vitros in a couple others. You are so strong to be able to collect bags and keep them all intact.
Interesting pattern on the Marble King bag (Victory Foods). Not sure if I've seen that one before.

I don't see how saying -3/4 missing by 1/8 or less is a problem. I have been listing marbles that way for years and never had a problem before.

Every time you show off Wisconsin marbles I get super jealous! More jealous than when anyone else shows marbles from anywhere else.

Let's say I found a 1930 car kit that was originally made by a Ford company and bought it in 2013. I assemble the car kit in 2013. It is still an old car since I used the original car parts made in the 30's?
In my opinion it would not be an old car.
I just watched Babylon 5 for the first time about a month ago. It was set in the year 2258. In one episode a guy claimed to have a mint condition Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle. It was actually assembled from parts he found here and there so I scoffed at him calling it mint condition. My opinion then and now is that if it wasn't an original build from when it was originally made. then it's something else. May still be super cool like that motorcycle would have been. But it wasn't an old motorcycle and it wasn't mint.

I'll let you know after the first 1000 pictures.

3 ... 2 ... 1 and 3/4 ... 1 and 1/2 ...
just watching for now

yep, interesting.
That would mean the weight wasn't the crucial factor.

The link isn't working.
I tried to fix it but couldn't make out what it originally was. -

To me it doesn't look like it's veneered all over. Looks like a green band on a black/brown base, which I don't recognize as a Vitro variation. And with it being in Holland I can't help thinking it could be a foreign marble.
