With an iridescent finish and the size, these would probably be modern and nonAmerican.

Thanks. They are all opalescent. Some online searching lead me to believe Vitro Opals.

With the irregular patch shape, I'm keeping Peltier Acme Realer in play.Let's hear what others say though.

Opalescent base...Acme Reelers?
I like how you're thinking. I think I see some grain also.
So, yeah, Jeremy, check for opalescence. Then maybe Peltier Acme Realers, or maybe someone might see them as Vitro Opal.

Vitro on the left.
Possibility of Jabo on the right but the brown ribbon is thin enough that I leave open the possibility of it being a West Virginia swirl.

First guess deleted. I had too many windows open and got the size wrong.
That looks like it's trying to do an Akro cork pattern. but with that much color and that much shininess I suspected a newer maker, especially when I thought it was your .91 inch marble. Then I saw that it's smaller, so now I just don't know.

I feel like I must have missed something.
But I've been feeling like that all day!

At 3/4", shiny, and amorphous, isn't Jabo an obvious first choice?

Hi Jon. Welcome.
That's an interesting question. I'll move this thread over to the main chat area to get more people pondering it.

Tommy, if you mean joemarbles.com, that was a different Joe. Sadly, Joe Street is no longer with us.

Size?
Without knowing any extra info, I'm thinking Jabo. If it's near an inch, then I'm hardcore thinking Jabo.

The first might be Akro ... looks like it might be trying to cork.

Interesting. I guess I'm not too worried by it. If I get back to selling on eBay I'll just be happy if I ever get over $600 again in a year. I did at least once -- had a couple of months of sales in 2016 and the total exceeded that. But just the sense that eBay keeps changing things ... even if I don't know about recent changes ... drags down my motivation to get back to it.

We had visitors for the past couple of weeks -- my girls liked the visitors' vertical litter box. That's what the first picture above is about.
Then with the visitors gone, the girls enjoyed having their living room back. They were actually relaxed for the middle picture. Then in the last picture where they reached out to each other, Bear got tense. See her ears laid back. There was a spat after that.
But so much progress. Very happy.

My big girl Bibi (age 5) and my little girl Bear (going on 9 months) are finally starting to be able to be near each other without going nuclear each and every time. Still not perfect. But so much better than in months three through seven.

That is a nice sampling of marbles from different eras.
A good start to the hobby.
Make sure you keep these together with a note that they were from your grandmother. I mention this because once you get into marbles it's easy for them to start rolling around together and things you think you wouldn't forget start to get fuzzy. So start documenting early!
And welcome!
