  1. @Melissa If you'd like to try some Zone 4 hardy seeds I'd be happy to send you some. I live in a zone 6b with clay soil (Ugh!), so I grow many plants that have particular soil requirements in large pots that I make and some that I've bought over the years. Let me know. There are quite a number of Penstemons (my favorite) that are hardy in your area. Since many of the plants in the gardens are from alpine elevations, they are cold hardy. The only thing you'd need to do is amend the soil so that it's fast draining
  2. Here are a few of my little lovlies in our front and backyard. I reduced the size to 72dpi so they are a bit blurry.
  3. Have you tried any rock garden or alpine plants?
  4. I'm always amazed at how many different types of Ravenswood marbles there are. Third photo from the top, on the left side is one of my favorite types: amber with light blue ribbons.
  5. I gave my word to God that I would encourage anyone that I have contact with to see the movie, "The Sound of Freedom". This is my word and I don't take it lightly. It's the true story of Tim Ballard who, when he discovered the severity of global child sex trafficking, quit his job at the CIA, giving up a pension that would have amounted to $12 million over his retirement years, to rescue children from evil men and women in the darkest recesses of the planet and the human mind. The movie, in my opinion (my first movie review!), is a solid FIVE stars. The cinematography is excellent. The acting by Jim Caviezel is deep, intense, humorous and honest. The acting by the "bad guys" is nearly too believable and I had to remind myself that these men and women were acting in a film. So, now I know that being a film critic isn't my calling. However, please see the movie and become aware of this illegal trade of human beings. Kind Regards, James
  6. Nice bit of internet research! Great info and yes, this kind of story can be a great boost to my day.
  7. I just came across this photo of my Dad's hands holding a load of Popeyes and other Akro. I know that y'all would like to see these. Cheers!
  8. These are all gorgeous marbles! The amazing green flame is my eye candy for today!
  9. At 11:06 on Stephen Bahr's video "The Heaton Marble Dig" on YouTube shows a Heaton Beauty Berry. They look similar, but you'll have to decide for yourself.
  10. I would go for Ravenswood in the last photo on the bottom.
  11. I have others that are different color combos that have this same pattern. I'll get some photos on the board on Monday. Going camping and gold panning! WooHoo!
  12. I think the last name is Davis. The first name is illegible to me. Perhaps Brian?
