By all means. My memory of their size is only a generalized size class typically. When it counts, I always read the dial!

I have a quick 'look it up' file and inventory system over here that I developed after the uncountable number of times running around looking for the offending mib in order to make a measurement. On a related note, I've measured so many marbles now, that I can actually typically guess, within some shocking level of precision, the size of a marble just by holding it. I'm sure many marble collectors can do the same trick; and not bragging either...it's just an interesting window into that eery 'knowing' that a ton of experience can bring to anything. I couldn't do the same trick with just any object, but with marbles, after lots and lots of experience, apparently now, I just know.

Indeed, a reference about 'wild caught.' Full disclosure, I've never been to a show so I wouldn't know. Not that I don't want to...bad luck and timing and job priorities always keep me away. Almost made one this year. Almost.

Paul, the one I posted is lonely no more. Nice grouping! You were brave to part with those; I'd be the breadline for a long bit before I would let mine go.

I think it's a Master. I have one with lots less purple, more of the brown and yellow, but a solid region of purple for sure (still haven't photographed this one).

Cloudy here too...drizzly, damp and such. Don't mind it at all. Work was done early...now for some marbles.

I know very little about cats, as I just don't concentrate on them. I knew enough to keep this shooter.

I wonder stuff like that too. I wonder what kinds of conversations went on when it was being shot. What someone must have thought the first time they held it, the first time it was shot and the victories and losses made with it. If that marble could talk.

Nice one found on that Dragon, Paul! That's a keeper, as is the superman above. Those are allowed to be imperfect!
