  1. I knew it didn't look quite right...quality of glass and the finish. Thanks Steph!
  2. I can find similar examples, but none that match. Ideas??
  3. I thought this might be a Peltier but the seam looks defective which makes me question the quality and the mfg. Thoughts?
  4. Thanks Steph. You're wealth of knowledge! So is this common or have a stumbled upon something rare?
  5. Thoughts about this one? I'm hoping that's a turkey I see in photo 1. The light washes out the hairline stripes, but looking at them with a jewelers loop they're a brownish red. Oxblood??
  6. Bought a lot today and it seems to be a mixture of old and new. This one really has me stumped. Thoughts??
  7. Bought this one from this one from the same dealer. I'm hoping it is an old slag. Measures 7/8".
  8. Not the news I was hoping for, but it is what it is...Once again you nailed it! Thanks for your help.
  9. I'm thinking this is a Peltier NLR but I cannot find an example of a blue & white. Measures 27/32 if that helps...
  10. Thanks guys. So that means that this is a Tri-color Patch. What is it about the seam that's the giveaway?
  11. I started out thinking Vitro but now I'm thinking its a Comet.
  12. Heaton? Alox? Other WV swirl? Is there a way to tell? Marble is a bit out-of-round...
  13. Looking at it with a loop it has some tiny pits but no major hit marks or chips. Thoughts?
  14. These were in a lot with Peltiers and Akros. Can someone tell me what these are? Thx..
  15. Thank for your input guys! Yes, I know that the condition of some of what I'm finding isn't great, but to ID marbles you have to have some marbles. So for now I'm paying for an education picking reasonably priced lots when I can find them. I've only been doing this for a couple of months and I've already learned a lot. This is a great website and a truly appreciate everyone's help!
  16. Here's a swirl from the same lot... Christensen??
  17. I went out at lunch today and bought more marbles... A lot of a easily identifiable Akros, some old Benningtons, a few Peltiers and some I'm not too sure about. I think this an Akro but I'm not sure. Thoughts??
  18. I'm hoping these are old but I'm guessing they're modern. Can someone please tell me what I have and when they were made? Thanks!
  19. I think this is a Sparkler, but could be a Sunburst. Or, I could be totally wrong...
  20. Here's another one from the same shoe box. MF Christensen Slag?
  21. Thanks for the quick reply! The examples are very helpful. I have a couple more I need some help with. Do I need to start another thread?
  22. Bought a shoe box full of marbles a few weeks ago and I've become fascinated with them. I'm learning that identifying them is not so easy. Is this a Peltier Blue Galaxy?
