Looking through some clearies and iridescents. Are carnival glass marbles a real thing? Saw some described this way. Just wondering.

I'm cleaning house today, Steph. Can send you some WV dirt. I find myself asking random people if they have/collect marbles. There is a mower repair shop in Ravenswood and I fight the urge to call the owner and ask if he collects marbles. He just looks like one of those people. I also imagine searching an abandoned school yard and finding lots marbles. -
Sale is in Pt Pleasant, WV. Keeping with the red eyed Mothman theme.

Love this. My brother in law said he had thousands of marbles when he was a boy. 1940s. He showed me the 6 he had still. "What happened to all the rest" ..." I got a slingshot" 😁

Thank you Steph for the information. Spherophile's pic is really something. Now I want that one! I didn't know there were actual "marble" machines. I, too have seen a regular one filled with marbles. Supposedly, the one I posted was from the Vitro Agate office. A former employee has it. I'll pass.

Thanks to both of you. It is similar to Akro slags on Ebay now that I know what to look for.

Tried to show the pole better. The 3rd pic is opposite the other 2. Its almost like it starts and ends in the same area.

Came in a box from flea market. There are Vitros, MK, various swirls in the mix.
