  1. If I remember correctly, there is a thread in "Marble and Glass chat" that highlights a bunch of great ideas that collectors here have for marble displays 😊...might be worth a peek, there's some cool creations posted!
  2. Nice looking marble though!
  3. That is a nice one 👍
  4. Thanks Dave...Patty collects mostly vintage porcelain, bone China and glass animals, one of my favorites being the little green bunny, a 1930's Czechoslovakian charm. All the mibs I have pictured are anywhere from 0.58-0.70, too give you an indication on how tiny they are! She started collecting Toby's also a while back, this miniature one in the last pic being my favorite 😊
  5. Thought I would switch it up and combine some Akro with some miniatures 😊 Happy Akro Friday
  6. Found the video, hopefully a better "live" view. Little tricky with the sun so maybe zoom in when viewing 😊 20210905_155034.mp4
  7. Loving it. We're also into the wildlife here in Southeast Minnesota. Backyard is covered with various types of feeders. In the winter we have a few varieties of sparrow, chickadees, juncos, purple finch, cardinals, nuthatch, jays and a few varieties of woodpeckers. In the Spring, I look forward to the color! Goldfinches, Redbreasted Grosbeak, Indigo bunting, bluebird, so many more! Sometimes I'm lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the huge Pileated woodpecker. Last year was probably one of my finest moments watching birds. In the photo below, if you look closely, I received my first Albino, a sparrow! Sorry for the distance, all I had was my phone and I couldn't risk losing the moment too obtain a better option 😊
  8. I don't have many, but here are a few....1st one is 0.73, 2nd is 0.81, and the 3rd is 0.53. 😊
  9. Welcome to MarbleConnection, Lauren! I started collecting a little over a year ago, joining MC a short time later. Little did I know it would become my home away from home! A wonderful place full of knowledge, fun and awesome people 😊
  10. It was fun while having my morning coffee...group shot, then turning slightly for an individual shot of each on the outer edge of their "perch"...yep, one of my fave colors with Rainbos 😊
  11. I can see what your talking about, Ron....I kept looking at it after your post, tricky one indeed for me. Thanks again 😊
  12. There might be more responses and opinions if this was moved to Marble and Glass chat? Pretty cool little piece there 😊
  13. Translucent and in hand the color is brown. Haven't had one of this color so a little curious about this one. 0.62. I want to say MK....

I'm thinking Master Aventurine (Not Imperial? 🤞) Don't have my light handy, but it backlights pretty crazy with my phone light...0.60
  15. I can see it as being grayish also, greenish/grayish 😊
  16. I like this pair, a very light pink with traces of lavender and purple around the edges of the pea greenish patches. 0.75
  17. I feel you on the loss of the trees, Art. I had to have my only Ash taken down last summer due to the EAB. I had planted both that hybrid Ash and a corrugated Oak when they were little 4 foot saplings. That was back in 2006 I believe. I remember the day I brought them home in the back seat of my Park Avenue! 😂 Yep, sad day when that tree came down, I own a 2 story home and she had eclipsed that in height. If I ever lose my Oak in some unforeseen incident, at least I will have a memory, an acorn from its first year producing them 😊
  18. I started actually getting into gardening after my wife and I bought this home in 2001. Doing it every year since but just recently started expanding it a few years ago. She was more the flower gardener than I, I handled the veggies. I've kept it going since her passing in early 2018 after a 3 year battle with brain cancer, always trying different things. I usually end up giving at least half of my harvest away, growing seems to be more of a joy to me than consuming the fruits of my labor 😁....
