Thank you! My husband is a director of IT so he will be proud! Haha. I don’t know what it is, but I love yellow. It is solid yellow with just the two marks shown. What is the one on your profile, it’s beautiful and do you own that Christensen sand that you showed me? Thank you, Gina

Do you remember how you got the dog to be your profile picture?
On your profile page, there is a little landscape icon at the bottom left of your profile picture. Clicking on that will take you to the page where you can upload a picture of a marble to use as your new profile picture. After you upload it and hit "continue", there will be tools which will help you crop and center the marble so that it fills the circle that shows up on your posts.

I really appreciate your response sir, thank you very much. What is the price range for a Peltier Liberty? The Akro is supposed to be an Akro Liberty Corkscrew. Again, thank you very much.

I see, I thought maybe you all had a special page where you choose one! This site is so great.

How do you all get the marbles as your profile picture?
Thank you, Gina

The first four are described as an Akro Liberty Corkscrew and I can get it for $17.09 and free shipping. The second grouping is described as a Vintage Christensen Agate Electric Opaque at .63” selling for 99.99 and free shipping. Finally, the third grouping is described as a Peltier Liberty Marble NLR Liberty Vintage at .669” selling for 79.00 + $4.15 shipping. Thank you for your assistance and time. Gina

Wow, you should be proud, you’ve amassed quite a collection. That’s wonderful!

One of my objectives here is to sell marbles to Newbies that can't go to shows and or hate Ebay. I'll probably be set up to sell marbles at the end of August. I've seen some really bad groups that Newbies are bidding on groups of 100 for $10-$20 dollar and they are junk. Not gonna happen with me.
That is wonderful to hear because I have purchased a few nice marbles from eBay, most have been lots of new or foreign and I was duped. Thank you for helping out newbies like me.

Gina

The total I paid this “gentleman “ was for more than the ones shown in the group shots, however I did overpay. I appreciate your advice and I am trying to learn all I can. Yes, I made a rather costly mistake by trusting someone on Ebay and it will not happen again. It may have been foolhardy but a lesson well learned and I found this group, so I am trying to look at is as a positive. Once bitten twice shy, I will never buy from him or anyone unless I know what I am getting. I do appreciate your comments and I am so sorry your Mother lost so much. I tend to trust too easily when someone is nice. Thank you again and I shall indeed learn before I buy. It is most kind of you to look out for someone you must think a total idiot, because I sure feel like one!Gina

Thank you for the assessment, I only collect them in memory of my beloved brother who was an avid collector as a boy in the fifties before I was born, he died as a result of injuries sustained in Vietnam, so it’s for him I continue the tradition. However, I am awaiting a bilateral lung transplant so paying too much is my only concern. I love them, they are like little pieces of art, the following photos, albeit still not great are of alleged Christensens I have purchased. Thank you for your help, sir, it is most appreciated.
The green is designated as a double corkscrew.

That Peltier Tiger is a beauty. So is the antique German. I have a loupe so I will try to distinguish. I am a bit disheartened but, I’ll get over it!

Thank you so much for being so helpful and kind. I sincerely appreciate it. I am very excited to learn and be a part of the group.

I didn’t think so.
Are all iridescent marbles throw always? Also, clear marbles that look like they have air bubbles under a flashlight, is that mica? I’ve really been duped. A few small good ones and I’d get a good deal on one of these Rarities. I spent almost a thousand dollars and do you know how foolish I feel for not researching? As soon as I saw your sand I knew. -
Thank you Chad, That is an Akro Superman 0.827”. The contemporary corkscrew is called a Spider-Man Corkscrew 1.5”. The other I thought was pretty. It’s supposedly a Contemporary UV Superman handmade 1”.
