  1. This is all that I can say. If this marble was in my possession I would call it a Vitro with Oxblood. I would be hard pressed to call it anything else. Whether it was intentional or not is another thing. MKs and Pelts among others show up with “unintentional” oxblood striping or blotches of Oxblood. It is just the way of the world in the marble making industry. Finding oxblood like this is a bonus and a cool thing to find. That is a very cool marble for sure. Marble—On!!
  2. I won't lie, I looked up the definition for epergne. A very cool piece af art for sure. Oxblood On!!

  5. Well, time for me to eat some popcorn---out of the bag of course. If this is a MK-- I will eat my--shopping bag. All opinions are more than welcomed. Marble--On!!
  6. Lets back up on this one and consider Vitro. It is not an Akro imho. All opinions opposed are welcomed--as a matter of fact --all opinions are welcomed. I am far from always right--this is just a gut feeling. Marble--On!!
  7. chicagocyclist--now that is a brave term--welcome and be very carefull--lol. That is a very nice marble! Marble--On!!
  8. That is a nice box for sure. I X’ed the ones that either need a turn or do not qualify as Pelt imho. You have a great start!! All opinions are welcomed and appreciated. Marble—on!!
  9. Very Nice Tommy--very nice! Great images as well!! Marble--On!!
  10. Not at all but😁---when you "backlight them all", transparent colored marbles can get quite interesting especially when you are running out of marbles to sort (it has been awhile for me). Marble—On!!
  11. Good eye William, Vacor Sunsets come less filled, more filled and in-between filled just like the Master Marbles that they often get confused with. I can roll with Vacor on this one. All opinions are welcomed and appreciated. Marble--On!!
  12. I agree with Steph and commit to Vitro on the top right one. The bottom right may have Oxblood but I would have to see better images to confirm that. As always, more opinions are welcomed. Marble—On!!
  13. I am OK with calling the last two Akro. The one on the far right may light up under UV light. Nice group! Marble—On!!
  14. Or a "Transparent" with a lot of action🙃. Marble--On!!
  15. The white based one might be a unicorn—Vacor Unicorn that is. Marble—On!!
  16. Probably sold in "Imperial" packaging of some sort. From the Far East. Marble--On!!
  17. It will help no doubt--Nice group! Put a name on these Vitros. More opinions are needed. Marble--On!!
  18. I believe that the OP is a Vacor Stingray/Sky. They were produced in different shades of blue. Marble—On!!
  19. That is a nice Vitro on the left. Exotic Conqueror? More opinions are needed. Marble--On!!
  20. Akro Cornelians are and odd marble. In hand under direct light they will show no transparency, they appear to be opaque even though you may see some subsurface white just underneath the surface. If you backlight them they will show through and in many cases you can see internal structure. They are a semi opaque marble. I have never seen one with any purely transparent glass involved. I have one that I keep with my Cornelians that displays like a red “Flintie” when backlit—opalescent. If any transparent glass is displayed I would call the OP a well filled slag------ Just to add to the confusion, Cornelians were called “Bricks” by collectors in the early days of machine made collecting. The OP is not a Brick. Marble—On!!
  21. Here is a 25mm (about 1”) Vacor Atmosphere for my Sunday’s best. I just love these little hard to find devils—this is a good one. The first set is in my light room and the second set is under overcast sunlight. Marble—On!!
  22. That is a good question. I just lit up an original unopened Jabo bag with UV light and both orange and yellow glowers were inside. So, they were made close enough together to be packaged together. I guess that says something. It may have been years apart between runs but who knows? I also hit a Vitro bag (when they were a division of Jabo) with UV light and only orange glow emmited. Marble—On!!
