Great images for sure. At first I thought ---pretty hairy palm of hand—unless we have some new off world species posting here—then I got it—no off worlders yet—that I know of---well may be me . This is just a beautiful example of an image of a marble—even though it could be cropped a tad more. This one is a beautiful example of a "maybe" Vitro Cat and it may need some more evaluation—this one is special. Ask Bob Block for a job--just killer images. Great job--show some more!! Marble--On!!

If you are asking me my friend Melissa----I will answer. This one is a veneered marble. The cutlines show this white with the white showing through. Pelts alway have a deeper color--into the center. You cannot always judge by the colors and I will go to bed tonight thinking that this one is a MK. The early MK's had a tendancy to do this--deeper colors--but still venneered. I just love this stuff--thanks for asking. I am not one to argue my ID's--Folks can call this one a Pelt all day long--but I know what I see here. Marble-On!! -
I am a bit weary of this one being called a Vitro--the base glass points me towards asia. Of course-I apreciate all opinions and hope to see some more. Marble--On!!

Great marble! Great images! I love the way that these last two posts show blue----which is the true color--they show as black but true black is very rare. Marrble--On!!

Has anyone ever heard of this?
akroorka replied to jeslar1976's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
Way back in the day when we ( my wife and I) collected Depression Glass there was a product that filled in chips and defects to to original colors --very hard to detect. These were the days before handheld "Blacklights". I have detected it in marbles--Pissed I was when I found it. I had to try it and it worked even with my eye on the damage--of course, I never sold any of this or kept it for that matter---junk it was. Take a blacklight along in these days when hunting--Always---- Laquer thinner will melt this crap out and show you the true thing--it will not hurt the glass. Ohhhhh---I know how to make a marble look mint--I will never share this info though--just wrong--it is just wrong. Soak your mibs in Laquer Thinner to clean them or look with Blacklight. Just do not breath this stuff too much-----. You may be surprised---if you make it throught the ---- esssence. Marble--On!! -
Nice one Tommy! I always have loved this type--simple but special!! Marble--On!!
