Close but no cigar--- X2 Imperial. Marble--On!!

It does have some Conqueror attributes, and these do come with a base glass that is other than clear. It is a Vitro—no doubt. The Metallic stripe does make it special as Fire says. @Ric and @Melissa are my go-to people for a good Vitro ID. I think that it is a slightly out of the ordinary Vitro “Bulls-eye”. I appreciate all opinions and hope to see some more. Nice find and images as well. Marble—On!!

It probably came overseas in the pocket of an American Navy, Army, Airforce or Marine Veteran. Topshelf imho. Nice find--Nice buy as well. Marble--On!! -
I do not remember giving you a welcome here—but if I did welcome again to “TheMarbleConnection”DCRtrent. This marble gets my blood going, the colors just rock. I did my Bathroom in these colors—I love the contrast. The blue in this marble is “Bleeding” into the white. It would be a rare thing imho to find this type of “bleeded” glass in a CAC. The CAC marbles have a distinct cut between the colors, there are always exceptions though. Alleys colors do not generally bleed like this either, but this would be my choice for this marble. Thanks for sharing it! Marble—On!!

I would call it a clear based NLR. More opinions are needed here and I respect them all. Marble--On!!

The 100 count boxes often had two rows of each color combo--sometimes there were "special ones" that had a single row each. I wish that I could nail this box down for you--name wise. Akro had many names for these 100 count boxes and they changed a bit from each other. Sometimes patches were mixed with Corkscrews. To name a box from one color or even two would be out of line for me at least. Check out Stephs "Study Hall" you may find what you are looking for there. Nice marbles non the less! Marble--On!!

Gregg Pessman marbles and an introduction
akroorka replied to Micki's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
Welcome Micki to "TheMarbleConnection". Show us what you have so far--it would be appreciated. I am sure that you will find what you desire at a show as Alan says. The Block auctions do sell a few here and there. Here is the link. https://www.marbleauctions.com/ I would not doubt that the auction center would alert you to any being sold in the future. Actually, I do not think that this one is an Akro. Lets call in @Nantucketdink for an opinion here. I appreciate all opinions and hope to see some more. Nice marble and nice images. Marble--On!!

The "Score!" thread. Post your exciting finds here...
akroorka replied to bumblebee's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
I am sure that greed has nothing to do with it at all. Producing a book is not an easy venture and I am sure that plenty of grey hairs were inherited through this venture. I am sure that the folks that produced this book wished for a higher number of the original books to be sold to individuals.(rip Geno Biffany) This book is now a classic and just like Super Bowl tickets, more were purchased to be sold than originally Intended by the authors. This of course was not the intention of the authors and they gain nothing from it other than stardom from us crazy marble collectors. The Green Bay Packers just recently announced that some season ticket holders that sold instead of attending would be dismissed and the long(very long) line that wanted season tickets would be moved up. This is the way of the world--sad to say. I would never blame the authors for this craziness. Marble--On!! -

I just love a good Swarovski piece of crystal—all crystal for that matter. These little hangers from your lamps are pretty cool. Hang them in a south facing window and be rewarded. Here are a few examples of what I have hanging. I just love this stuff. It reminds me of Grandmas house with the crystal set windows that she had with all of the colors shining all over the living room.

Yes, this book has skyrocketed out of it's mind pricewise. I am on my third one--I purchased two originals for trades and the third one---- I just recently purchased on an auction here to build up the money pool for the MarbleConnection board--(Thanks Steph!) I am sorry that you missed out. They may be cheaper at a show-keep an eye out for sure. Marble--On!!
