  1. Actually davesnotthere, I think that the one that you show here is a MasterMade--not a MasterGlass. These big "MasterMadeMarbles' are not an easy find, even more rare are blowouts on a Master Made. I love this marble--great find! Marble--On!!
  2. White does seem to be the standard here Fire--hard to find these big ones are (now I am talking like Yoda--I am not that old--am I) Marble--On!!

    Birds

    Which one crows the loudest?😁.
  4. This one is a "Champion Furnace" or more commonly known today as a "Tank Wash Marble". One of the og as far as tank wash marbles go. There are many Jabo out there advertised as "Tank Washed" which is the true term--but these Champions were well before their time. Love em ! This color combo is more common--yet still rare. Nice marble!!! Marble--On!!
  5. This marble is just killer--I love the pitch fork--no idea on the maker though. Marble--On!!
  6. I am amazed at this one Tommy—just flaber-gassed. I have never seen one like it. 99% of the black that you see in marbles/glass is either purple, brown, green, grey or blue. True black is a very hard find in any glass and I remember having some heated discussions with our old friend Ron regarding this “no black glass thing”. He convinced me that there is true black glass and had recipes to back him up—I gave up and have yet to see it in hand. This is just a great corkscrew—why would one quit collecting them? They are always showing up as one offs or very special ones. Backlight them all---- I just love this stuff. Thanks for sharing this one. Marble—On!!
  7. Welcome back Ric--great observation. The Heatons did show this trait--a bit more rare than a Vitro but good food for thought that is much appreciated. Marble--On!!
  8. I moved this post for better recognition from the Bill Towe post. Marble--On!!
  9. I would call it a near mint Popeye Hybrid. Not too common--but as far as Popeye hybrids go-more common than most hybrids. This one has very nice action to it. No price from me. Nice find!
  10. Patry was one of the Og's. So Kind and forgiving. I loved her as a person--just not a collector. She was one who would stand up to the old arguments and get it back to what we all like--marbles. This collection should be sold by the best. Block Auctions. Marble—On!! Good idea Art. I would describe one of her sides as ornery. Her Southern Heritage was amazing🔥 RAR Funny story. She High Jacked one of my first threads on LOM. Long story short Galen had to lock the thread down. I PMed her. We duked it out for a while and then ended up sending each other the new acronym for Rolling On The Floor Laughing My A$$ Off. 🔥 RAR❤️
  11. What a great way to start a collection!! Finding out what your 93 year old Father’s marble collection was when it first started. Finding these in mint condition may be a challenge but well worth the effort. I challenge you to do your best in matching these marbles to what your Father has left behind. We all can help you here with the ID of what you have inherited for sure. There is No shame in showing beat up marbles here and I am sure that all on board here will help with any venture that you consider. This sounds like great fun and I am on board for sure. Try to start a thread involving this—if you need help—just click on my image and give me a PM (Personal Message) and I will start one for you. I just love this stuff! Marble—On!!
  12. You did well here my marble collecting friend. Nice finds! Marble--On!!

  16. X4---nice marble though--great colors! Nice images as well! Marble--On!!
  17. There are a few Akro Corks with collector names from the past. In today’s world they all have names---just to sell and bump up the price. This one is a very nice Akro Corkscrew---a "Prizename" (from the manufacturer). Marble--On!!
  18. Nice group for sure--- Marble--On!!
  19. I know a few post card collectors (maybe even crazier than marble collectors) and they are quite intricate with the way that they display and sort but I have never seen marbles as a choice. Did you have to sort these? Regardless—nice job. Marble—On!!
  20. Thanks for the translations here--interesting to say the least. When this board was born—many years ago there was much animosity toward Japanese made marbles. It was not the marbles’ fault. I feel that a new respect for them is on the rise and we should recognize these as they should be—glass marbles. This info is "Study Hall "stuff imho @Steph--just sayin. Marble—On!!
  21. Images 24-28 really get me going. You have a mix of older WVS and some later models as well. The one that I mention is special. @Nantucketdink and @cheese will have some nice opinions to share on these. I appreciate all opinions and hope to see some more. Marble—On!!
  22. Check out this link and make your mind up--great stuff here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DIzKZAW6HSo Marble--On!!
