  1. The "Popeye" Bring your elbows in close to your ribs and relax--then take a shot. Natural sunlight on a neutral background is best. These images are still too out of focus to make a great call. It is a Popeye and it appears to be a very nice one but condition is everything and your images are hard to determine that fine point. Keep on trying—you will get it—I am sure. Marble—On!!
  2. Akro--I agree. These came in rows of ten in many of the 100 count boxes that Akro sold. Marble--On!!
  3. This would be a top notch Vacor but the damage does not line up with what I would expect. The colors are awfully bright for any Master that I know but the damage lines up right. It could be a very pretty Asian Made as well. I will say Akro here, the cutlines are close to being right on. I appreciate all opinions and hope to see some more. Nice marble—a Patch—almost a cork. Marble—On!!
  4. It must be an Alley Agate. Nice find! Nice Images! I suck @wvs ID and appreciate any and all opinions. Marble--On!!
  5. First off--it looks like a Heaton to me. I appreciate all opinions here. Most importantly--the rust. I Like to call these “Coffee Can Marbles”. The discoloration is in fact rust residue. It could be from the bottom of a fish tank(which more than likely would include some other polution or stain) but more than likely this one was stored in a can somewhere that collected a bit of moisture—it was near the bottom of the can. You can leave it as it is or try to bring it back—both are cool imho. I use this type of product—always use it wet and a tiny bit at a time. Look for the finest grit that you can find. One of these little cups is all that you need for hundreds of rust-stained marbles. It is used on my shiny teeth at the Dentist office—why not a marble? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00Z7J0SL0?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1 Good luck and Marble—On!!
  6. These are always better in hand---I am thinking PPP or Pelt Peerless Patch here. Image #1 and #5 show an elongated "tongue" that I usualy associate with a Peltier made marble but not generally in a Peerless Patch. These "tongues"(kinda like a lizards tongue) show up in a variety of marbles including CAC--Peltier has the most imho. The colors are right, the depth of color is right. I appreciate all opinions and hope to see some more. Marble--On!!
  7. Just be carefull with what type of paint that you use. Under lights they may stick to the glass--bummer for sure. I used to use old "throw away" stryrofoam blood tube holders (back in the day when I sold) to ship marbles. It might have been a drag to get them out-- I had to press them in, but they arrived undamaged. They also make great marble holders (if they make them anymore). Good luck on your venture, just remember--dust is a concern in any display. Marble--On!!
  8. A chair leg coaster for a holder? That is a big one!! I was never a spoiled brat--but at 8-10 years old--I could see me doing the same thing😇. Marble--On!!
  9. Odd yes, but understand that these machines were kept running until they broke down--time for a new design/color--lets go. Usually the in-betweens were picked out and disgarded--the "pickers outers" were only human. Marble--On!!
  10. Cool stuff for sure. I can think of a few from the book that I would not mind having😁. Marble--On!!
  11. It looks like three differernt shades in this one--soo---a swirl--from WV😁. I appreciate all opinions and hope to see some more. Marble--On!!
  12. Nice Finds--I agree with all that has been said. Marble--On!!
  13. I would call it a nice big "Killer Corkscrew" Nice Marble! Marble--On!!
  14. I agree--Nice find Melissa!! Marble--On!!
  15. I would sort this one as a "V" for Vitro. Marble--On!!
  16. This is not an Akro imho. I wish that I were more versed in Kokomo ID. This one appears to be a Peltier Rainbo--a bit messy but??? I appreciate all opinions and hope to see some more. Nice find! Marble--On!!
  17. Me too Alan--nice ID here imho. Marble--On!!
  18. I made this yesterday--one of my go too's. "Top Notch" with a few porkchops on the side👌. Scalloped Potatoes with Fennel o 6 garlic cloves, peeled, smashed o 4 2-inch-long fresh rosemary sprigs o 2 1/4 cups heavy whipping cream o 2 1/2 teaspoons coarse kosher salt o 3/4 teaspoon ground white pepper o 2 large fresh fennel bulbs with fronds o 3 1/2 pounds medium russet potatoes o 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, cut into 1/2-inch cubes Position rack in center of oven and preheat to 350°F. Butter 13x9x2-inch glass baking dish. Place garlic cloves and rosemary sprigs in bottom of prepared baking dish. Combine cream, coarse salt, and white pepper in large bowl. Cut off any stalks and fronds from fennel bulbs; discard stalks. Finely chop fennel fronds; cover and chill. Using V-slicer or mandoline, thinly slice fennel bulbs. Layer half of fennel slices evenly atop garlic and rosemary in baking dish. Peel potatoes and place immediately in large bowl of cold water to prevent discoloration. Working with 1 potato at a time, use a V-slicer or mandoline to thinly slice into rounds. Immediately add potatoes to bowl with cream mixture, turning to coat potatoes. Arrange half of potato slices evenly over fennel slices in baking dish, reserving cream mixture in bowl. Repeat layering with remaining fennel slices, then remaining potato slices. Pour cream mixture in bowl over fennel-potato mixture in baking dish. Dot with butter cubes. Cover baking dish with foil, doming foil slightly (do not allow foil to touch potatoes). Bake scalloped potatoes until almost tender when pierced with knife, about 1 hour 15 minutes. Increase oven temperature to 425°F. Remove foil and bake uncovered until potatoes are tender and top is deep golden brown, about 20 minutes longer. Remove from oven and let rest 15 minutes. Sprinkle with reserved fennel fronds and serve.
  19. Let’s start here, my friend. Marble Id is not an easy thing, but we have to start somewhere. I am willing to look. Marble—On!!
  20. Yes--nice colors--not too common imho. The thing is with Master Made Marbles—Very few blow outs are found--Generally Master Made marbles are some of the smoothest and well finished, roundest marbles ever made in glass. The colors here do not line up with what I would expect from a Master Made Marble. Asian in mho—nice one though! Marble—On!!
  21. Well--this one is a game marble. I love the passion here for an ID. Great images!! It is not an Akro—maybe a Vitro gamer. Marble—On!!
  22. Nice images for sure---- It is a wvs no doubt. Blue green and white--a swirl--not a slag (slags are one base color plus white)--probably an Alley Agate imho. I have not called in @cheese for a while--lets get his taste on this one. Marble--On!!
  23. I like it--it is a wvs--- hard to ID becuase orange was always used to sell marbles. Marble-On!1
  24. Your fourth image shows an Akro "Popeye” probably a hybrid and a nice one. Upper image lower right. If this one is mint it is worth some dollars. Even near mint this one is worth more than the rest of what you show. Marble—On! Show some great images of this one from all sides. Marble--On!!
