  1. I agree with "Parrot" here. Nice find. The more white the less desirable to collectors of these. This one carries some damage, so do not expect top dollar. A nice one for a newer collector though--or some one that could not afford a mint one. Nice marble regardless. Marble--On!!
  2. Nice find! Marble--On!!
  3. I think that it is, a weak one though. MFC all day long--Nice antique machine made. Marble--On!!
  4. A CAC "Striped Opaque" here imho. A very nice marble, but it should be in it's own thread as far as I am concerned. Marble--On!!
  5. I have not seen many Red Latticinios--very cool!! Nice share! Marble--On!!
  6. You are right on, Clay's seem cold to the touch vs glass marbles but so do the Polymers imho. I have not weighed them one vs the other but--I would think that clays are heavier. Yours appear to have a fingermark or indentation from the hand-rolling process, the Polymer makers that I know of are much more refined than this. I will settle on clay on these two--who knows really? @akronmarbles may have an ID and I will defer to him here. Brian is a collector of the Clays from the USA--he knows way more than I do regarding these. Marble--On!!
  7. The Medical care in the USA is suffering since the Covid thing, I appreciate you all sharing your concerns here. I thought that I had it bad here in Wisconsin but things are looking up👍. Wait until you are on Medicare--the treatment--well--it is not the same as before. I actually have to ask to have my Prostate checked--Whatttt??? I want a Doctor or a PA--not a nurse practitioner--just sayin. Marble--On!!
  8. Yep--a "Jabo Classic" or one made for general sales from the Jabo company made for world wide sales. A little "bland" but in great shape. Nice marble! Marble--On!!
  9. I have had one close to this and I always, after much research, went back to Vacor as the maker. It could be a Champion--size is always important with Marble ID--mine was around 7/8". Marble--On!!
  10. These are very cool, I would call them Clay for some reason. They may be Polymer though. I have never seen one of these let alone two of them. Get a proper ID and get a better value for them. I have no Idea. A very nice share! Marble--On!!
  11. No --just a very nice Akro Slag imho. Marble--On!!

    Akro?

👍. Pretty nice marble!!! Love it!!
  21. As a Definition--"Slag’s” are white on a single colored transparent base glass. This is the accepted version of a "slag" for many, many years. Yours is Pretty Weird. It is not a slag imho. I see two cut-marks, one of which shows white in-between. This suggests to me that this may be a weird “veneered marble”. My call is just a very weird Marble King or really weird Vitro Agate. Marble—On!!
  22. That first image is Mezmorizing, to me at least--I got dizzy looking at it. I am not into Contemps but I might try one of these one for size--Just because🤪. Marble--On!!
  23. Yes Wolf, They were rare 25 years ago--quite common now imho. Marble--On!!
  24. This is an old and great dusty collection here Lola--did you inherit them? I would start with the largest multi-colored marbles that you can find and post them with good well-cropped images. 3-4 images at a time with multiple images showing four shots from a different angle or side. Pick out the big “Pretty Ones” and let’s take it from there. For the most part, multi-colored marbles bring the best price and this is a good place to start with your collection. Any filled boxes or any box for that matter may be worth more than you can imagine. This is a hard thing to do—selling off a collection that you know little about. We are all here to help you out—just do not expect any prices or offers on this board. You give us a few hints and we can point you in the right direction as far as selling goes. This will be done by “Personal Message” or PM as we call it. There are plenty of folks that we all trust here, that will drive down/up/left/right to you and take a look—and give an assessment. I wish you great luck, Marble—On!!
