This is where the glow comes in handy. I am leaning heavy towards Akro here. Marble--On!!

Japanese Cross-Though Cats Eye with Horse Hair?
akroorka replied to Parmcat's topic in Marble I.D.'s
Worth a bump. This one looks like a triple cross through cat. The "horsehair" is not a thing to be concerned about imho--just some leftovers from a previous batch or run. @Al Oregon may have some input here. I appreciate all opinions and hope to see some more. Marble--On!! -
I am not a big fan of AI but the ID does help here with your images. This one is a WVS probably an Alley Agate. The colors are right on. It has at the very least been buffed up a bit imho. @Alan can clear this up for us. I can see some after buffing compound in the lower areas. Alan knows his "fixed marbles". I appreciate all opinions and hope to see some more. Marble--On!!

These are both a great size but somewhat boring imho. I would sort them as Vitro a much later model. There is just not much eye appeal here. I appreciate all opinions and hope to see some more. Marble--On!!

It looks like one too. Once again--great images. Notice in your images the little hit marks. This one was not played-with and the hit marks came from either dropping into the annealing section--or packaging. This is a very nice Jabo Classic imho. These are very tender. Marble—On!!

I just wish that I had one to show--nuff said. Nice marbles----the "Berry Pinks". Any history on these would be appreciated by all here on the board. Marble--On!!

I think that you may be right here. It is not what I thought it might be. Although it does appear to have a vintage WVS look to it--it would be rare to have such coverage with the AV. Marble---On!!

The left one may be a Giraffe? Marble--On!!

These are WVS more than likely Alley Agate. Marble--On!!

Me too--awwwwhh-marble buddies--I love it. Maybe Alan does not love it so much--- "Fellow Collectors" fits even better. There are a whole bunch of newer ones and fewer and fewer of the older ones---marble collectors. @Alan does well, and I do know that he holds back on you less experience collectors. Respect Alan as you should all of the older collectors here and be rewarded with a whole lot of past knowledge. Marble--On!!

Nice stuff! Marble--On!! -
This is a tuff thing to do, explain Handmades to a new collector. The handmades shown, as far as I am concerned, are all nice examples--just not quite round which is a thing with collectors of this type. I will have to step out here on this conversation because--well, I collect machine mades and a few handmades. When I started collecting, all handmades were out of my league. Lets keep this conversation going and lets keep it nice. I just love this stuff. The sharing of long lost info compared to the new opinions that are "out there" on the web. Marble--On!!

This is a hard one--it appears to be a veneered type. Dug MK/Vitro is my call. All opinions are appreciated Marble—On!!

This one is a german--nuf said. Marble--On!!

This one is a Vacor imho. Marble--On!!

Yes, a Popeye, but a weak one imho. Glass colors do not mix together--at least in my humble experience. I would love to see it in hand--oh well. This is just my opinion below. Black in glass was either made from blue, purple, green or brown (maybe a few others were involved). There were a few Black recipes but they are very rare. This one looks like it got too hot and the blue was burned. Call it a burned blue and yellow Popeye. I always appreciate all opinions and hope to see some more Marble--On!!

@Nantucketdink will have a better opinion of these than the rest of us imho. I agree with the assumption of Jabo classics--but these may have been a "Special Run". You have to list the size here. ( they look like 5/8" to me) Marble--On!!

This is another one of those Pesky Imperials that we are all growing to love. This is a nice one! Another version though. Thanks for showing it. Marble--On!!

I would call this one a Marble King--just me, and I always appreciate more opinions Great find!! I can tell that you are looking very closely. Marble--On!!
