The digs from Akro produced many of this type--hard to ID but fractures were included. It would be way too easy to call this one a Pelt because of the bubbles included and I reward any one not thinking this way. We older folks have had much more access to true dug marbles from Akro--one of the very first sites dug. I would call this one an Akro with no problem. I appreciate all opinions and hope to see some more. Marble--On!!

Killer images--backlight it and be rewarded. Akro X3. Marble--On!!

Tomato in my world--lol. These smaller marbles, when you press them with light, will get your mind swirlling. This one may be what you think or what I think--a good version of researching marbles right down to the bone--good job! A game marble. marble--On!!

Jabo imho--a "Jabo Classic". I had to look back at the size--these kinds of swirls and coverage are more likley to be found in a much larger Jabo. I may be wrong so I invite @Nantucketdink to throw an opinion in here. Marble--On!!

Lazy cork sounds right to me. Marble--On!!

Yep--cool marble Asian imho. Marble--On!!

It is not a Jabo---we all seem to agree with that. Dimples, like the ones that you see in the third image--the right hand image, are not too common with newer marbles for whatever reason. I would sort this one as an Akro. It would be one of a row of ten in a box of 100 patches. Nice marble regardles of the id. Marble--On!!

It is an Akro all day long for me. It is just not a real strong contender--very cool find though. @Melissa post a few of these in her favorites post within the last day or so. These showed up in the later day Akro Boxes, the ones without any staples in the corners. Probably a #300. Here is one that I have that is close to yours. Marble--On!!

What pre 1940 West Virginia marbles
akroorka replied to BRBLL74's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
The thread with the AV brick received an ID from me--but this is history. I do not fight my way through the rubble to stand tuff on any ID, I give what I can and then back off. I know what I see, and I post it. I generally ask for more opinions. Whether I know that I am right or not. If this AV Brick thread got your Ire up--I welcomed them back and they will be back, due to some respect shown to this collector. This is a very hard thing for me to agree with, but I know where you are coming from. Many of us here are not cheerleaders and just deal with facts that we have learned over the years. Some may take it personally when challenged but then again, we do not know him/her and how long of a passion this has been for them. This marble collecting thing could get quite nasty in the 80’s and 90’s and we had to fight for our lives. There is still some of that left in the darker corner of our old grey spider webbed minds. The written word as I post it seems friendly to me to most who post here, and I am sure that it is the intention of all that post here—just friendly. We just all come from a different time and age on this board. Some like I, have three great grandbabies. Some who post are under twelve years old. The older ones may get cranky, and the younger ones may---well--- just be smart assed. Nothing that I have not been through before. This is why We try to keep it clean here @TheMarbleConnection. Keep them coming—the marbles and keep your written posts in check considering what I have said. Marble—On!! -
Cobalt blue on bright white has always been an an eye catcher for me. I remodled my batroom in these colors about 25-30 years ago and I still love it to this day. (it used to be brown-everything was brown🤢). What do you think that the one with horse hair ox is? (maybe a Heaton?) Nice group. Marble--On!!

That MK with the blue AV-Top Shelf for sure--Very cool! I am not a big MK fan but this is my fave out of all that you show.( it took awhile to pick one out) Nice show here--I feel like I should have paid to see them. I appreciate all of the work that this took as well. This post did not happen overnight. Great job! Marble--On!!

The "Score!" thread. Post your exciting finds here...
akroorka replied to bumblebee's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
Nice marble for sure Melissa. Next time you are hunting try red/yellow and black with sparkles on your nails. I would try it myself to find a "Golden Rebel" but the family might just think that it is time for me to quit this venture😁. ( maybe on my toe nails--I always wear socks ) Marble--On!! -
Sorry for the late response here. Aye, the yellow and blue one. It looks like it had some red to me as well—maybe a reflection from the lighting. Even without the red I would sort this one as a Vitro. It is a veneered type that shows what I attrubute with the yellow of what I would expect in a VitroMarble—On!! I have to go back to school--something is wrong with my last statement--Maybe I do need AI😁. Marble--On!!

Welcome Jenniferpowers1976 to "TheMarbleConnection". This is a great example of what it takes to ID a marble. The first image of course looks black--the second image opens it up and the third image tells me that it is a WVS Game marble. Nice work here my marble collecting friend. Marble--On!!

I agree with the jabo vibe here--it is just a very different Jabo "Classic". Quite a nice marble imho. Marble--On!!

Please help me with these last few Mega Marbles / Vacor ID's
akroorka replied to The Nickel Guy's topic in Marble I.D.'s
These seem easy enough--they are Vacor. I just spent the last thirty minutes on these--no results name wise. I will ask @Mojo for an opinion here. Marble--On!! -
This thread is not a good thing for the board imho. Ancient history is just that--Ancient. I will delete this thread if any further posts are made. Let’s just move forward and by the way--"TheMarbleConnection" did not "get rid" of anyone lately. There was one that decided to leave us. I have PM them and welcomed them back with no reservations. These are both top notch marbles Melissa. Great finds! Marble--On!!

Possible for sure. That is a big one and the big ones alway act a bit different than the players. Did they actually shoot these? Nice marble Fire! Marble--On!!

I am considering ending this post here. It is my job as a Moderator--my job--enough said. I like to keep it civilized on the board. I think that this is a good end to a post with bad reactions. I hope that we all consider our reactions before we reply to any negativity to our wishes or dreams. This post will be reported to the rest of the moderators as a potential problem. Lets end it here---Please.

Welcome to "TheMarbleConnection". This is some great stuff here jnviani. It is beyond my scope of knowledge. I suggest that you get in touch with this person at this link. https://www.marbleauctions.com/contact He may have some info for you, or someone that does. Show the marbles here for sure! Marble--On!!

Well, I would be surprised if there would not be any special names, given the way that the world works today. They are not all that common. How about a Champagne Conqueror?--Ooops, did I just name a marble? This is about all that it takes. I never went Viral before--lets try it. Nice find. Marble--On!!

Slow down KateSo, I get it, the passion for an ID that you think is right, we all have it. Rudeness is not a topic here from anyone. If you are convinced, well why post it for a further evaluation? I have been called wrong plenty of times after much research. I just get Piss## at myself. Marbles ID can get quite frustrating, the quote that you show is regarding stone Agates. I have researched plenty of marbles over the years—even the game marbles. The one that you show is a Master Made Game marble. I/We welcome the passion that you show. Sometime the truth is a hard swallow. You will always get the truth here at “The Marble Connection”. I would be willing to trade you a “Brick” for this one just to settle you down. They are only marbles after all. I appreciate your passion and contributions here. Sometimes we must lay down and lick our wounds as far as ID goes. Live and learn for sure—keep an open mind, never be embarrassed. Keep on Marbling! Marble—On!!

Ravenswood? More images are needed here. Nice find. Marble--On!!
