  1. That "Army Drab" one ( I have not seen one like it before) reminds me of some Akro corks that I have seeked for years, one of the very few Akros that will show up with some AV--the green is the thing--many marble makes with green involved will show some AV--just a recipe thing with green--hardley never intended, more than likely "recipe glass" vs purchased "Cullet glass"--just my-humble opinion here. The "Muddy" is just killer--I just love those things. Marble--On!!
  2. Me too but what a nice pair of Master Made Marbles--great finds! Marble--On!!
  3. No box Ric--still looking. Nice almost ("Pine Needle"/"Woodie")--freshly cut--not yet seasoned enough for the fire box--it is even better--very cool! Killer Rainbos for sure. I have seen the oxblood in a variety of Pelts with this color involved. Never a "Simple" Rainbo though--very nice! Marble--On!!
  4. The closest that I have see to a Sparkler Ric—just Killer! Marble—On!!
  5. Nice bunch Al! Those turquoise are still my faves to find. Thanks for sharing! Marble--On!!
  6. You did very well Ric--purple glow in any marble--pretty rare. What a nice find--I am glad that you did your family well--you scored for sure. Marble--On!!
  7. I have been called the "Marble Man" more than anything in my small communtity--you can fool some but not them all😁. Yes--I have a broken nose🙃--not from hockey Fire--just because. Marble--On!!
  8. I agree with all of the above. Marble--On!!
  9. Very nice Ric--rare works for me. (that pouch is killer) Marble--On!!
  10. It is all trial and error my marble collecting friend. This place here "The Marble Connection" is as close to an idiots guide as there is and by the way there are newbies, veterans and everything inbetween---not to many idiots. We all learn something new everyday. I was just teased for loosing my marbles yesterday--it is still funny😁. Marble--On!!
  11. I know nothing and am confused as the rest. Just extra batty this week I guess.
  12. Peltier--no names from me--just very nice! Marble--On!!
  13. Many Vitro will show a Vitro "V"--just another form of a "butt-crack". Jabo purchased a number of companies including Vitro and the machines that were used by them. The similarity may have some impact on the final product, bear this in mind and check them all. Jabo is usually considered as a softer glass showing little white hit marks vs the other types of damage more noticeable in older marbles as chips or moons. Some moons on the older marbles will show a center that is intact and the surrounding glass explodes outwards forming an intact middle and an explosion of glass that busted out due to the impact. Glass is in fact able to be considered as a solid and a liquid. It can take an impact and actually rebound as if a liquid—to a point. I am old enough to remember the glass panes in a window being thicker at the bottom than at the top—gravity for sure. If you were to live for the next hundred years or so and you never moved your collection, some of them would be out of round—gravity. Marble—On!!
  14. Nice marbles for sure! I just love a good Akro Patch type. Marble--On!!

  17. This dude/dudette was buying bats for supper in a Chinese marketplace and he caught Covid--the Police held him--Yes?🐼.
  18. You are right on. These things are beautifully simple, I just love these little brushed patches. The white on green are not too shabby either. Go with your gut feeling and second guess in a few more years. Marble—On!!

    Pelt?

    I agree--nice images! Marble--On!!
  21. I believe that the yellow/white one is an Akro swirl (yep—Akro made swirls). They have many names and have shown up in a variety of packaging from “Visi-Paks” to Popeye boxes and quite a few in between. I have always thought of them as “Imperials”( I am not really a name guy) just another named box that you may find them in. Nice find—this type will also show up with a UV base glass. Marble—On!!
  22. These three are WVS imho. More images of the different sides may help in any ID. I will call the top one an------I need more images (akro) Marble--On!!
  23. I agree and I think that Melissa backed off in a good fashion. These can be found yet at a local rummage sale--imho. Marble--On!!
  24. I like your list Melissa, If I had a Guinea I would send it to you. To me these are just a great trade or sell to get more corkscrews and I have done plenty. I am sure that you will find one--they are not as rare as many think. There are plenty of "goldfish nets" on the Ebay. Marble--On!!
