Popeye has been around for awhile for sure, since 1929. I have been looking for a Popeye holder for this ashtray for a long-long time. The tray is hard enough to find, I only have one and I believe that it is a Westite example. The Hardy’s Akro book shows one complete on page#25. I have seen a few for sale but they are always in a melted stage. They were made out of some weird early rubber composite. Marble—On!!

“Starburst”, “Banana swirl”, “Streamer”, “Spaghetti”,--these are all Vacor named marbles with yellow and white included. You have a “Banana Swirl” here imho.(not too common) Made by Vacor and yes it does cover the the Slag question but it is a swirl in today’s world. Marble—On!!
