  1. Air bubbles and oven brick.
  2. This thread has become an echo chamber.
  3. First is likely a divided ribbon core. Second is a banded (coreless) swirl.
  4. As noted - a divided ribbon core. The cane was cold-ish when the shear was made and they didn't round it properly in the cup.
  5. And try a neutral (light gray etc) background. Your camera is averaging the exposure based on the majority black background.
  6. The use of flash is over-exposing the pic and eliminating details. Also, try looking at it in a shallow glass of water.
  7. Modern - either clay or synthetic.
  8. I have eaten lunches older than that.
  9. Its new glass. Likely Jabo.
  10. The 1950s classics - Watermelon, Spiderman, true Green Hornet(a lot of wannabe's and anemics out there). Oxblood on the first two seem appealing to many, but is incidental to the batch.
  11. And some types one shouldn't imagine.
  12. The "purple" is an anemic black patch allowing the white base to show through.
  13. If you can't see 'aventurine' with the naked eye in sunlight, it essentially isn't there. You shouldn't need a microscope to see it. The pics are out of focus, but I would look at it with care to ensure it isn't buffed.
  14. I was asking if the glass reaction to UV was that of true Vaseline glass - or a mild reaction (which is not all that uncommon). There are a few Popeyes made with Vaseline glass instead of typical clear.
  15. Is it true Vaseline glass - some mild reaction elsewhere? The former would be cool on a mint example.
  16. Boro artist. The signature is completely illegible.
  17. They seem to have hit with a LOT of light to brighten the pics.
