About ready to chalk up hunting as a lost cause when I found these at a farmers estate sale Saturday. All old mibs with no Jabos and only one old Vacor that I can see so far. He was a collector a long time ago and I don't think any were added for at least 25 years(Just guessing). Farm is even in the city limits now. You can see a bag in the rear of the first photo that is labeled 15 cents each that he must have bought. Never seen so many slags in one group for sale three of which I put on ID yesterday along with an Akro which I misidentified, and Chad corrected me. I would say at least 40% of all of the mibs are mint. Can't wait to start sorting. Others chipped in and helped me identify the Slags.

Don't look like Jabos to me. You have a variety of Manufacturers. Whether or not you over paid will depend on the condition of the marbles. Anyway paying $40.00 for an in-hand learning lesson is cheap for someone just starting out. There are at least 10-15 mibs in there that are worth the price you paid if mint or at least near mint IMO. I have only been collecting since July of 2021 and I am still a novice, but have learned a ton from the people in here and you can also. I am posting a in the wild find just below and I paid a little over your price and consider it a near home run. In the wild seems to be harder all the time.

Thanks De Roberto, I thought the swirls in the first photo looked like nine's making them MFC, but you might be right as they also look Akro.

On far right at .88 thinking it is MFC slag with a 9 if it is. Middle thinking at .64 It could be Akro Moss Agate. On left at .64 thinking milky Oxblood. Hoping i'm right on at least one.

Thanks De Roberto, I guess I was right about no OX. -
Thanks De Roberto. Still working on the mib on the left.

Hi Ann, Here are a few more pics of the MK and the larger unidentified shooter. Hope they show enough to make an ID. I'm not very good at picking out cut lines on some of the manufacturers.

Not going to guess on these. right to left .61, .61, .59. Blurry eyes thinking no OX and no Pelt, but?
-
On the right I believe it is WVS probably Ravenswood at .58. In middle at .62 no clue. On left at .59 no clue
-
On left no idea at .76, middle I believe it is a MK Spiderman at .60, on right I believe it is possibly MK Dragonfly at .55. I hope pic of Dragonfly is good enough to ID.

Thanks Chad! You make my struggles a lot easier. I had no idea Peltier had a marble run in 1988.

This mib is for sale on feebay as a Pelt Nova. Never seen one before and am wondering if anyone has or if it is a Nova. It has fractures so not valuable but would like to know what it is. Pics not so good, so may not be able to ID

Thanks everyone, I have a clearer understanding of Popeyes now!!
-
Thanks guys, didn't think the Akro qualified as a Popeye. Wish I could tell the maker of the WVS.

Right to left Akro Cork Prize Name I think at .61; however, it has a translucent white base and at places it looks transparent toward the middle. Middle at .62 not sure. Left I believe is a WVS, not sure the Manufacturer at .62(close to OX, but don't think it is from looking at my examples.

Dan sent me some pieces of glass that showed Oxblood to help me with IDing Oxblood marbles. So here is what I think is an Akro Patch with Ox next to the glass he sent. It broke up quite a bit but still easy to use for ID purposes. It allowed me to ID a marble I had and wasn't sure. Hope I'm right. Thanks again Dan as it shows the community and willingness to help here in the club.

Nothing special for me to post, but I did get these this week as I only had one MCS. I bought these 4 and probably over paid but needed to add. He sent me some extras of which I have included on the left. I may post the green and white one on ID site as I have never seen one like it, but pretty sure it is a pelt.

Looking further I could be a Comet although I think most of them have an opaque base. Marbel Allan shows one in the second row of his pictures.

I see what you mean, William. It may be a Master Cloudy as it fits that description fairly well.

Thanks guys and gals. I'll put the big one with WVS for now as I agree it doesn't look Vacor.
