  1. I think it is an Akro cork. The ribbons dip beneath the surface a little so it is a little confusing but I have seen many similar patters in corks over the years.
  2. With the sparse striping on the original post, I'd be thinking foreign - "Imperial" style.
  3. Looks like that "Imperial" style. I've read where some have AV.
  4. Your ID looks good to me.

    JABO ??

Game marble style - could be anyone.

    WVS ?

No maker stands out to me other than a swirl.
  7. Nice set up and great way to display. Hope you don't have any cats that like to jump up on shelves....
  8. I received my copy of the book. Good 32+ page book by a cat's-eye collector who wanted to put some information out there for cat's-eye collectors. He has some values in the book that he picked up from online, eBay, and probably Larry Knudsen - who is knowledgeable but a little high (IMHO) on marble valuations. Does not have company histories but goes through the varieties of cat's-eyes with good pictures and a variety. Here are a couple of pictures. Sorry for the "cutoffs" - book was just a little bigger than my scanner when opened to two pages. I would recommend the book - the $9.99 price included shipping so can't beat that.
  9. Thanks for sharing that information.
  10. And, trying not to be picky, but "Rainbow" is for Marble King and "Rainbo" is for Peltier. Easy to mix up.
  11. Agree - Vitro Blackline All Red
  12. Have not received mine. Messaged the seller and he is going to send another. He said first one was shipped on the 17th but tracking shows it leaving from a post office that closed 10 years ago so....?
  13. Obviously does not have a corkscrew pattern. Maybe a very odd Popeye Patch?
  14. I'd go with Vacor Seahorse.
  15. I agree with Jabo on the first. Not as sure on the 2nd.
  16. Neither am I. I just ordered it so we'll see when it arrives.
  17. I'm surprised no pics of corks have been posted. Here is one I just put together. The four on the left are right hand twist. The four on the right are left hand twists. The second picture shows the opposite poles of each marble. I have no idea how they were made but now there is a picture to look at.
  18. I remember Dani & Ernie commenting on this subject years ago and they had close to a 50% split on left turn corks and right turn corks.
  19. Nice bags and pics. I have a bunch of Taiwan bags and most are cat's-eyes. But here are some pics of the opaque style that remind me of yours.
  20. That's what Pete (Land of Marbles) said in his spreadsheet on Megas (Vacors sold in the US). And Didier used in his i8nformation on his site. Here's a few pics of Old Fashions and one of Red Baron in the bags that I have. I used to think the Old Fashion were thinner lines and the Red Baron thicker and more swirled but....?
