I have quite a few Roosters, and the shooter I keep in the jar has quite a bit of hazy white. Admittedly, my sample of Firefighters is pretty small. Their base color is awful close to that of the OP marble.
This is a question I've been meaning to ask for a while. When I reacquainted myself with my marbles earlier this year, I was dismayed to see that a little sliver was somehow shaved off this Jabo. (You should be able to just make out the sliver, near the lower left corner of the bag, if you enlarge the photo.)
Would it be possible to somehow reattach the bit that came off? Or should I just display it with the damage facing down?
The OP marble does resemble a Vacor Firefighter. However, I'd go with Jabo. The OP marble has swirls that tend towards "milky." I had four Firefighters close to hand, and their swirls tended towards opaque. Whomever made it, it's a cool mib!
Aircraft repair isn't a weird occupation, but I have been told not to walk into the house before changing out of my clothes because they reeked of JP-5.
In my case, it would depend on the marbles and my goals. If the marbles were high value, I wanted to see every penny of their value, and I was in no hurry, I'd sell them individually. Otherwise, I'd sell them as lots.
