  1. Akro corkscrew was my original thought, but the last one I put up, thinking it was a cork, I was told it wasn't, so I reconsidered this one too, as the swirl isn't that tight. Thanks!
  2. Just over 9/16. No idea, it came with a peltier, but I'm not aware of any pelts like this. Any thoughts welcome.
  3. Thanks, I won't lose sleep over it 😀
  4. Bang on 51/64, very bubbly. I'm really not sure at all with this one.
  5. So would the metallic stuff just be furnace crud? It's a lovely feature.
  6. Good to hear, there isn't a great variety of books over here and I thought this will definitely be useful. I'd been meaning to get it for a while but kept ending up buying marbles instead, so I asked my sister to buy it for me!
  7. Got this for my birthday, and I think you might be right. Size is pretty much exactly 5/8, so would this be a clue?
  8. Aha, that is an interesting suggestion, not something I've studied yet. Out of this collection, it is mainly old stuff, however the few more modern ones do seem to be some Vacors. Thanks, I'll look that way...
  9. 5/8 Opaque with translucent areas, swirls surface and into the interior.
  10. Here's some pictures of the peltier that made me think the left hand one is pelt.
  11. @akroorka any thoughts?
  12. This came from a collection that definitely has Ravenswoods (as confirmed on here), so that is most likely. Thanks
  13. Yep, that could make sense...
  14. Good point, would you say those are the Japanese figure 8s?
  15. Ooh, interesting. The pink on the left one seems very close to another pelt I'll put up for comparison when I get the chance.
  16. That's what I was hoping 😀
  17. 39/64 Translucent green, opaque white with a few very fine metallic lines. Sorry - I know the pics aren't great.
  18. 19/32, opaque. Faint grey/tan tracer/accent along one edge of the white. Faint blue/grey along the other edge, perhaps this bleeding from the black indicates a certain maker?
  19. 9/16 A few faint crease lines and a sort of surface pit, but these don't look like pocjet or impact damage.
  20. No, you're absolutely right. I have a bunch of keepers that I've separated out. Some just because I like the colours, others for the crazy big bubbles or crackles you can see. Also - when I got a good lot of akro, pelts and ravenswood recently, I'd set aside the very small amount of 'junk', a couple of weeks later it occurred to me that in my excitement of all the other stuff, I'd actually assigned about 6 japanese 3 color 9 vane cats as junk!
  21. Both a hair over 17/32. Colours on these pictures show true.
  22. Left one just over 19/32 Right one 9/16
  23. Sorry about the reflection, going away for a few days and going to try to get a bunch up before leaving...and now one of my children is climbing on me 🫠 19/32 Transparent light blue, opaque white bands, mostly on surface but one goes through the centre.
  24. Oh dear, thanks for the warning. I had high hopes, when I started collecting marbles, that I could hit up my uncle for some interesting stuff. Come Christmas and he gives me a little bag of common cats and informs me that they are "sheep's eyes"... I know he meant well, but this man has spent his life dealing antiques and doing house clearances, I dread to think what he's let slip through his fingers!
