  1. Thanks. Basically, I was going through Ebay, trying to spot what sort of interesting stuff comes up the most (and therefore don't need to panic buy, thinking I might miss out), and a tiny picture of this caught my eye. I spent £20 on this punt (I'd just picked up my car from the garage and the work was significantly less than original quote, so i felt like it was vaguely justified, knowing it at least would be a learning opportunity) got a jarfull of mostly crap with it, so I was hoping I wasn't going to be completely wrong...
  2. Just under 11/16, bubbly, really good condition. Or is it just one of those unidentifiable WV swirls 🤔 ?
  3. I've read through everything I can online but can't quite figure out if there is also some confusion with this being Champion, or that's just because this type were in the bicentennial bags. Anyway, I'm hoping this is something interesting, but won't be surprised if I've got it wrong. 7/8
  4. Thanks, that's a helpful bit of info. I have a similar one that I think might be more modern, possibly Jabo. I'll put that up soon to test your skills a bit more
  5. But amber, with bubbles when back-lit. No idea, please give suggestions, thanks. 5/8
  6. This thread was very useful actually. Am thinking this one I have is of similar origin. 3/4
  7. I've been wondering about this one for a while. Thought it was the same as yours but not sure now...5/8. I'll do a post specifically as I've taken quite a few shots and don't want to clog your post up. It's amber when back-lit and has a few nice bubbles in there.
  8. Ha, it turned out I'd actually set these 3 aside to keep for now anyway. Don't know if these pictures add much, apart from the fact that the red swirls are very UV reactive.
  9. Thanks, perfect for keeping everything stable on, when doing a line up.
  10. Oops, I better get them back out of the "possibly to sell drawer". This business is so tricky, the glass is almost perfect so I thought they must be newer. I'll get some more detailed pictures up and see if there are any further comments. It looks like everyone made those red swirls though...
  11. 21/32 I think they all match.
  12. I'm not asking for an ID on these two, but just asking whether I've spotted a similar swirl pattern that may be significant? I seem to remember something about ends like these from one of the videos I've watched.
  13. Oh boy, so I'm about 0.000000001% there then...
  14. Thanks for your input. Sounds like that will be a very useful book, hope I can get one posted to the UK 😀
  15. Yes, I first thought of a duck, but I think seagull suits it better
  16. Oops, thought I had it that time as it is such a perfectly circular mark. Thanks, there's so much to consider though!
  17. No popping on this one. It definitely seems to be German striped.
  18. This one came with the other 2 that I put up yesterday. I'm pretty sure I can see a pontil ... clear turquoise glass, tiny bubbles, the white doesn't really extend far beneath the surface. 19/32
  19. Thanks, yes, I spotted a thread elsewhere on here where something about that was mentioned, and thought that might be relevant.
  20. And to add - it may have a bit of opalescence to it, don't know if that leads anywhere, I'll try and capture it tomorrow...
  21. I like all these answers so far 😀
  22. Thanks for input folks, another area to start looking at...
