This looks visually like a lava. But know little else about it. Any thoughts? It measures 41.5mm / 1.63 inches.

There is what looks like a crease, which is 20mm long in photo 1.

That is a Yasuda crease "pontil" transitional (hand gathered and machine rounded) marble from Japan.

One of my favorite colors too. 🙂

Six similar marbles. I like the purple and amber (although has a chip) ones the most. Also the little tail on the dark blue is pretty cool.

Assuming hand made, they are around 30mm diameter.

Any advice on identifying these gratefully received.
