BuckEye
Hey everyone, I got these slags today from a collection, all were found together for what thats worth. 3/4-5/8" Five have some sort of damage, but ALL have "oxblood" mixed together with white in a aqua/turquoise base. No pontils, just cut off marks like on Handgathered MFC and CAC. I am really interested to see what your opinions are not only to age, but also to maker. BuckEye
single views, the one with alot of red is awesome in hand!
Chordus
Those are absolutely gorgeous! *wants* I'm fairly certain that those are CAC. The lighter blue colors I've seen once or twice in CAC. The redness in the one slag is also indicative of Christensen as well, though I've never seen it mixed in with blue like that. BuckEye
Think so? I just checked the white with a black light and they blow up and the base goes transparent. Hmmmmmmm

Chordus
I'm no expert, so you may want to wait and hear what others say. It would not be the first time I've been wrong on this board.
BuckEye
I tend to agree with you, but lets see what else people say.

BuckEye
no all are around 11/16" Did MFC do Aqua?
Chordus
Leighton's... that'd be something you don't see every day. Didn't even cross my mind; I've only seen them in books. Those tend to have pontils though, don't they?
machinemades
Craig, I am pretty sure they are MFC oxblood slags. I just came across some green examples. Very nice find specially if they are mint. Sami
BuckEye
Hey Sami, Yeah I thought about that, I have a few of the olive green ones with oxblood, but had never seen aqua. Three of them are good enough to go in my keeper box, with minimal damage if any, the other four are a little worse, but not terrible by any means. Thanks for the input!
