Poplarhead
My camera doesn't show it but these swirls have electric orange coloring - as bright as I have seen on old machine mades but sad thing i smany of these have annealing cracks which I have found seems to be common in orange coloring. Ric
Wow, that orange is intensely bright. It sorta makes the base hard to discern in the pics. Where did you find those? Who are you thinking made them?
Poplarhead
Ric: Whoever made these is probably long gone -- these are vintage machine made marbles, I am guessing Champion Agate but maybe another company. I have had these for 15 years myself... Don
sissydear
I am thinking Champion Agate with David McCullough. Maybe some of the New Old Fashioneds group. never have seen those though.
Ric
Don, I suppose I should have asked, "which company do you think made them"? I figured they were vintage machine marbles. Is there a black or (dark) red streak in the orange stripe on some, or just thinner orange with base showing through that looks darker in the pics? Poplarhead
I think they are older Champion Agates than Dave's time, more lik eold corals. The orange is two shades, a dark and lighter shade. No black. Don
