m!b$
Or could it be something newer, like maybe a Jabo? http://www.ebay.com/itm/STUNNING-Vintage-5-8-Dripping-Wet-Mint-5-Color-Peltier-Corkscrew-Marble-L-K-NR-/160905417855?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&nma=true&si=Glw%2FBf4mIXXItJ2ALrAlNLVxD5A%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc
m!b$
Here's another one by the same seller. Not Akro, IMO, and maybe not even a corkscrew. http://www.ebay.com/itm/STUNNING-5-8-Dead-Mint-Indian-Blanket-Corkscrew-Marble-L-K-NR-/160910798668?pt=Marbles&hash=item257707ef4c
m!b$
Somebody really got taken here, and they left a negative. http://www.ebay.com/itm/HUGE-VINTAGE-Marble-LOT-2000-Lutz-Latticino-Onionskin-JCoats-Superman-Indian-/160896462992?nma=true&si=J00TboWiv8CPQiCtcHLgndYsPNE%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
sissydear
He called it "Peltier corkscrew". Not Peltier or Akro. Colors look Vacor and probably not even a corkscrew. He's got it positioned to look like one though. I've never seen a JABO look like that.
Bocci
the second one looks to be jabo. http://www.ebay.com/...=item257707ef4c
MC Marbles
They look Vacor to me.
Marlene
His name is appropriate (play4funman), except that he's having all the fun...ripping people off. It's as if he's just making things up as he goes along. I'm looking at Item # 160922409236 described as a five color handmade. Don't quite see that! I wrote to him about it. I'm going to start reporting him I think. Anybody else?
Al Oregon
I wouldn't report him until you have some "conversations" with him. It looks like he might just be the typical eBay seller with just enough marble knowledge to be dangerous. Sure, he shouldn't guess or make up names but I'd say there are at least 30 or so that do the same thing and we can tell they are not knowledgable. Maybe invite him to post pictures to the iD section of the board and then he can sell after getting accurate ID's.
Marlene
I think you are right. I get too riled up! He is so creative with the names he puts on things. I haven't been collecting that long and I struggle and struggle to try and figure out what it is! I usually end up thinking Vacor or something like that. But to just make up names... Yes, there are others doing it, too, that's for sure. If and when I start selling I'm am always always always going to say if I'm not sure what kind it is. OK, I'm calming down. I will talk to him and suggest that he might like to join the board and post pictures. That's a better thing to do. Thank you! I really mean it, Thank you Al Oregon!
