William Marbles
http://www.ebay.com/itm/VERY-COOL-Pre-1950-VINTAGE-NATIONAL-MARBLES-PELTIER-GLASS-Marble-BOX-/140972555769 Hey Everyone, Am I missing something on the incomplete, worn box? Thanks
Ric
My guess: The graphics are awesome, it's rare (not sure I've even seen another), and a few people wanted it really badly . . . a good day for the seller, for sure.
IowaMarble
Very rare box indeed. If it had the inserts and marbles it would go for almost $8,000.00.
westcoast_dave
Last one i seen was sold in 2004 by Morphy's. Went for $5,500, complete and in excellent condition.

BobBlock
It is an exceptionally rare box. But $3250? Wow!
IowaMarble
Well, Mr. Dave - how the heck are ya?? Hope all is well my friend! Yes, this box went pretty high and will undoubtedly be very difficult to backfill with anything other than repro inserts. Still a great box! b-80
I had one in Amana a few years ago and was asking $10,000 for it. The top bid I got was $,7000 so I kept it and took it to Seattle where it sold much closer to what I was asking. It had NLR's one side and comics on the other. westcoast_dave
Chad, all is well on my side brother. Hope you are doing well and good luck on the new marble show. B-80, to your knowledge, were the comics and NLR's original to the box? The other box also had all comics on one side.
