Mborda
Ok, it snowed 9 inches, I live way out in the middle of no where, so what can I do? Play with my marbles! This was my very first. Still can't put a name on it. I'm not very good with figuring names out. It's 3/4 of an inch. I need a name, manufacture and possible date. I'm turning marble geek and I'm going to start labeling. Lord help me... Monique
Steph
Eek! 9 inches? That's a Peltier. I wanna say Ketchup & Mustard. And I wanna say 1930 give or take. That is, NLR-era. But it has a slightly later feel ... like maybe a little before the rainbo era. And maybe the yellow isn't right for the K&M. So I'm gonna move this one to main chat forum for input on the name. MC Marbles
It looks more like a Peltier Rainbo than NLR to me.

kbobam
Just noticed you're from the privy-digging side of Maryland! Hi! On my setup the lightest areas of the marble have a definite pink cast. Is that the case, or are they more of a pure white?
Mborda
You know, it's a very soft white "ish". Not stark white at all. Definality different from my other pelt rainbows. I'll work on more seam pics... and privy digging? where???? I've got a shovel...
kbobam
Hope I don't need to apologize here, but I certainly do if I've misinterpreted. I was thinking about bumper-stickers I've seen on the cars of Eastern Shore people which proclaim "I'm from the (let's say brick) -house side of Maryland. I always thought this statement was one of pride. It's a lot more 'country' over there than much of the rest of the state. The land just stretches out forever, and it's truly beautiful. I always look forward to trucking jobs that take me there for most of the day. But I just did a little research and found out that a whole lot of Shore people took serious exception to Governor Schaefer referring to the area this way. So now I don't know what to think. I was just thinking that marble-digging opportunities would be easier and more abundant there than in Annapolis or Baltimore!
