The sound of an approaching thunderstorm reminded me that I've never taken a photo of lightning. And that it was a recent addition to my 'bucket list' to do so. So I went out and sat on a five gallon bucket for about an hour and took a gazillion pictures. Managed to get one that halfway works. The lightning isn't as dramatic as I had hoped, but the thirty second exposure gave the very dark night time scene a bright surreal kind of look. So I like it okay for a first attempt.
