disco005
These two groups are both beat up pretty bad, I haven't found one yet in decent condition. I've collected them all separately over the years, they caught my eye, and I scoop em up every time I see one. Both groups have a deep red transparent base with a thick black corkscrew and yellow corkscrew. I have no idea where they fall in the Akro line and I don't know if the damage is from play or maybe there were discarded at the factory or something else entirely. 3/4" Anybody else deliberately collect the beat up ones? Steph
I had some softly worn ones which I sold to someone who probably didn't appreciate them as much as I did. I have about three left. I like those. You know, no conspicuous chips. No cracks. Just a whole lot of pocket wear.
pedidoll
I don't deliberately collect them but I seem to have alot of "played with" marbles..lol
I'llhavethat1
Some chips and scratches remind me of the schoolyard where we played for keeps as kids. This was pre-eBay (lol) so the 'aquisition' usually ended up with chips/damage on one or both marbles anyways.
disco005
Lol I played with the marbles for keeps as well, wish I still had them. Here is another style that I like to collect when I come across them, a sky blue base with a thick yellow corkscrew and a thinner black cork with some oxblood I believe, running through it. 1"
