ManofKent
It's a nice swirly one (5/8ths). My guess is it will go in the unknown box but I could be missing something very obvious: Edited June 5, 2016 by ManofKent Added third marble
Steph
I'm getting a strong Alley vibe here.
Steph
Pennsboro Alley rather than St. Marys. (Earlier than St. Marys.)
ManofKent
It seemed very 'fluid' - nothing like my Ravenswood which are more 'jerky'
ann
I think Alley too.
Steph
"jerky" is a good way to describe ribbons that I associate with Ravenswood.
ManofKent
Thanks both - are there any defining features for Alley swirls? Ravenswood makes me think of Japanese brush painting (along time since I've tried it) - almost 'flicks' between curves and lines
ManofKent
Also Alley? More orange in the red and spread a little, but the swirls are still very fluid, and the base glass has the same almost woodgrain pattern in the white: Needs a clean... Thanks. Steph
Alley is really easy to say, so I almost didn't say it on the first one. But then I felt pretty strong about it. I'm feeling less strong here ... less sure whether it's actual colors or just a bias toward Alley which makes me want to say "yes" .... but still odds seem pretty good it's Alley. The closer you get to basic red and white the harder it is to say.

ManofKent
Thanks both - most useful. Being able to narrow down to likely candidates and less likely is good. The long narrow flames is particularly helpful.
ManofKent
A third one - seemed best to add to this thread for comparisons. Base glass looks very much like the first one, ribbons are much wider and seem to dive into the marble rather than flow around it. Alley again? Steph suggested Pennsboro for the first but I'm struggling to see the differences between Sisterville and Pennsboro - any tips?
