DINDO
Hope i am not consuming all the oxygen out of the identification room. This corkscrew has a tiffany blue colour i have never personally seen on a marble before. I cant place the seam either. It is a white base. Steph
This one appears to be handgathered. A "transitional".
DINDO
Thank you. The transitionals are very much still a mystery to me. Im still amazed at the knowledge base here
Steph
That would be one of your "nine-and-tails". There should be a "cutline" on the opposite end from what we're seeing in the last view.
DINDO
I see that mark there. That would be a melted pontil then?
Steph
I don't think "melted". I don't think anything extra was done to it other than sending it down the rollers for rounding. I think maybe a crease pontil but don't take my word for it. I've often confused those.
