Chad G.
Proper "Joseph coat" no such thing as a Jacob coat. Yours all appear to be onionskins from here, onionskins have an underlying opaque coat of usually white with colors either stretched or speckles on top of this, with no visible window into the interior except maybe at the poles, may contain lutz or mica. "Josephs coats" are transparent based glass with opaque colored colored canes added to on the outside with a clear visible window to the interior. I will give some pictures of each, joseph coats may contain aventurine also. Both are covered in or (cased) by a coat of usually transparent or (clear) glass on the outside. As in all marbles there are variants (marbles that appear to be both) these are just some examples of each for you to look at. Ric also posted an excellent link, hopefully this gives you a better understanding of a few handmades & helps you on your marble journey. Lots more here just enter "Joseph coat" or "Onion skin" into the search bar, have fun !!!
