Good stuff, Sherry. You know, we have a new subforum for these types of documents now, thanks to Jason and Steph!

Some of the info they cite is wrong too - particularly the date and location of the first American marble company.

I used to have free access to a newspaper archive through my local library's site.  They discontinued that some years back.  I still miss it.  It's so fun to go searching for marble entries.  Maybe I'll subscribe one of these days to see what new entries I can find since the last time I looked.
