Need help identifying

My dad recently got into collecting marbles and he was given these but I can't seem to find any pictures like them to try and identify how old they are, where they are from, etc. Any help with this would be much appreciated, thanks.

Welcome gais to the world of collectable marbles.
I would consider these to be millefiori glass. It takes a long time to make them and they do not look too shabby.
It takes a multiple amount of glass rods put together to achieve this effect, let alone get them all lined up and put into a sphere.
The size of these will matter in the final worth.

These are not an easy find in marbles. Look for a paperweight that he may like--much easier to find in paperweights.
