Dark handmade german

Hi everyone new to the group.  I've never seen a german handmade this dark its almost black without the back light any info would be greatly appreciated

   Agree w/ German Handmade, never had one that dark either, has banded opaque construction but obviously not opaque, the bands look cased also ?? Not sure what to call it ?? I have a very dark Indian but the base glass isn't amber it's green, I thought it was opaque black until I passed it over a mag light.

Hard to guess what the intention was all those years ago -- whether it was meant to be sold as opaque, or if it was meant to be something of a lighter color and came out darker than expected.
