B-rett66
Can’t make up my mind weather it a Snake or Auger. Knowing my luck it’s neither one. You can see right down the middle.

Thank ya. I’ll take note. I did have it sitting on a brass fitting with a light under it. To be able to get a real good pic I had to dim the light with paper. The hole does go all the way through. Can’t really get a shot of it.

Fire1981
Not a Snake. Those have a very thin ribbon🔥 RAR
Fire1981
If your marble just had the thin ribbon on the surface and not in the matrix it would be a Snake Spiral 🔥 RAR
B-rett66
What do you make of this ?? I have seen a lot of stuff from grandpasmarbles. They have it named a “Mister Twister. It’s described very similar to mine. http://www.grandpamarble.com/html/gm2048.html

I will wait for qualified opinions on the marble. Grandpa Marble certainly has some nice-looking offerings, but many are way too rich for my blood. Carowill
My vote is an auger, not a snake. A snake is a corkscrew just under the surface and an auger travels deeply towards the center of the marble. Just like a porthole auger.
B-rett66
I love to research and investigate these marbles, well anything really. Like it’s been said before, “The thrill of the Hunt” is what makes this fun. I told my son, who collects too we could always call it a snauger. 😁

Fire1981
Corkscrew is actually a Homemade ID. If you asked an Akro Salesman if they had any Corkscrews for sale they would have said no. Back in the day they were all Spirals🔥 RAR
